A Pain in my rear
Gonna keep this short. Wednesday, went to see my doctor cause I had this sore on my rear that was painful and throbbing. He tells me it's a Viral Ulcer. Now, it's not herpes, and it's not shingles, but man, does it hurt like hell. But, I keep working. I can only sit for short periods of time and so, long trips in my car are out of the question.
I'm currently taking 1 gram of Valtrex three times a day. Also taking 800 mg. of ibuprofen for pain, and the Neosporin applications along with the hot water soaks ever 3-4 hours seem to be helping to take the edge off. I have no idea what causes this.
What is a bummer (no pun intended, LOL) is that I won't be able to tolerate the 2 and half hour drive to see my husband this weekend. I am also nixing the trip to my parents house next weekend-the bum cannot sit for a 6 hour drive. I just hope that my daddy doesn't have a serious fall this next week, else, it'll really suck. I hope that my husband won't get all depressed. His dad will be seeing him this weekend in my place.
Cancelled all but 1 student for this weekend, and going to rest as much as possible and soak as much as possible. For the last 3 nights, been waking up around 1:45 am in pain. It's awful.
Well, that's all for now. Cannot sit for very much longer, and I need to send my husband an email.

That sounds awful. I have never heard of that either. Go figure you get something weird that hurts to SIT!! I am sure with all of that medication, especially if one of them is an antibiotic, it will get better soon. We can hope.Just rest and relax, and you will be ok in a little while. I know it\'s painful and frustrating. Wish there was a quick fix for it, for you!

I went back to doc. Turns out its an abscess (boi). New antibiotic & hot water soaks along w a drawing salve. They gave me a high dose antibiotic shot in the rear w a very large needle. Man, nearly knocked me over. It\'ll take a couple of days to a week.
If not, then its to the ER....especially if my temp goes up
I have never had one, but have heard they are painful. Gosh, I hope that shot works. Maybe you will be better soon. The high dose of antibiotics should kick it good.
