A Normal Night's Sleep?
Last night I slept from a little after midnight to just before 8am. I don't know what is going on with my sleep- not that it's a bad thing to get 8 hours of sleep for a normal person, but I have really never been able to deal with that without going hypomanic. I don't know if I am going hypo, or if the Risperdal is giving me such good sleep that I don't need the extra couple hours. I've been up all day and didn't nap. I even went to the store and got some bread since it was on a good sale. I don't feel hyper, my thoughts are not racing, so I don't have the classic hypo signs... but still. I don't know if I should be worried or happy. The dreams that I have been getting on the Risperdal have been vivid and slightly disturbing, but I have dream deja-vu where I feel like in the dream I've dreamed this before. I don't know... things are just bizzare I guess.
Downgrading mood to good... I don't feel as great as the last couple days, but I don't feel bad.
Food: 2 cups coffee, pasta, a salad, normal dinner, green beans and 3 hot dogs. Weight is still up, so yesterday wasn't a fluke, last week's weight was. Oh well, that's life.

SOunds like the Risperdal is having an effect. keep an eye on it, but do enjoy not being hypo - that must be a nice relief.
Sorry the weight is still up - it could be water retention if you have a lot of salt. Hot Dogs are very processed so perhaps try to decrease the amount of these that you eat xx
Im having really weird sleep problems too... dont know what it is with me. I either cant sleep because of racing thoughts or like last night its been abdominal pain with chest pain ughhh... two nights in a row. I hope your sleep patterns stablize and no hypo its so hard to function when you go outside of whats normal pattern of sleep for you. hugzZz
The Risperdol can be giving you your much wanted sleep, it did for me. I get 5 to 6 hours a night now. It unfortuneately can also cause weight gain, be careful what you eat, munch on carrots and celery when you want to snack. I am glad you feel better.
