A New Year

Well,  today  started  another  year.    I'm  turning  it  over  to  the  Lord  because  I  know  He's  in  control.    I'm  prepared  to  say  that  this  year  will  feature  days  where  all  five  faces  of  DS  will  come  to  play.    Also,  I'm  prepared  to  say  that  those  Christians  who  are  here  on  December  31st,  will  be  365  days  closer  to  meeting  Jesus. One  thing  I'm  hoping  I  won't  suffer  is  a  burnout  like  I  did  last  November  and  May  2007.    The  first  day  was  good  after  the  year  2008  went  out  with  a  bang. Here  is  what  happened.    I  was  almost  stopped  by  the  police  because  they  claimed  I  was  driving  reckless.    I  was  asked  at  least  three  times  how  many  beers  I  had  to  drink.    I  insisted  that  I  didn't  have  any  (the  reality  was  that  I  was  very  tired).    This  happened  with  only  about  15  minutes  left  of  '08.    After  yelling  at  me  (at  least  he  didn't  know  me  personally  or  by  name),  the  cop  finally  changed  his  tone,  his  voice  kind  of  uplifted  and  he  let  me  go. This  year  will  be  different  and  I  know  that  the  Lord  will  play  a  positive  hand  in  it.
