A New Twist
The hospital suggested that he go into a nursing home for the duration of the iv antibiotics. (6 wks?) This way he would have constant care--- they would be responsible for the treatments (as opposed to him doing them at home) and hopefully they can maybe get him a bit more motivated and mobile. This option would cost nothing. (If he did at home, meds would be covered, supplies would not. Or he could drive 35 minutes every dayto the hospital, but he shouldn't be driving right now and I am working--plus one car.)
I actually breathed a sigh of relief when they mentioned this. A reprieve for me, an option for him. He did think about it and then said he thinks I am right. Best place for him, and a break for me. Said just so I am not gone when he gets out. Thought this will show me just how lonely I will be on my own. I said that could just backfire and show me how peaceful it could be. (He didn't want to hear that. lol)
I am off Saturday, so that morning I will take him to the closer ER and they will admit him from there if all goes as planned. I am seeing this as a chance to get through and organize things Clean things up . Will be easier for me to cook and eat healthy and keep junk away. Sounds silly but for me this is almost like a vacation.
I am doing ok. Still trying to focus on doing stuff I need to get done. As a few of you mentioned, I am going to take your advice and spend some time here and there with a friend or two for lunch . Need to get out and breathe and refocus. (And vent and just kick back... something I haven't done forever.)

Wonderful news Kim! You’re going to love the alone time. Get the ball rolling. Perhaps even get a realtor to look at the house. Hugs.
Great news. Hope he takes the offer. It will be a reprieve for you. Take care and pray that he does take it.
Being alone for me meant finding out who I really was, after living my life through someone else for so long. Everything happens for a reason. It sounds like this is an answer to your prayers! :)
sounds good that you will have time to yourself in the house. enjoy
Great news.
What a break! You may be lonely on your own for a bit but don’t let that predict how it would be if you were really on your own. You would adjust.
MAKE him go. Not a choice. If he doesn’t go stay at a motel:) This is what you need to ground yourself. I’m so glad you are getting this.
