A New Path

A new friend is serving as a mentor.  He tells me I have four things to work toward. Once I have conquered and do practice these, I will be a more peaceful, centered, happy person who is more capable of accepting and expressing love.

I need to find (and practice)  1. self love   2. self respect    3.becoming self less   4. becoming nonjudgemental.

I  did believe i was making headway. Then I would come to learn I can't "fix' it all at once.  (Doesn't he realize by now i want it done yesterday?

Today I did start again....at the beginning. Truth be known, it was familiar.  I often start eating better, exercising regularly, and starting of on the right track.....then things get in the way.

I do love a project  (Do much better if I have goals in mind)  So what better than myself I guess..

To plan and carry out healthier eating,  set a specific time for exercise, also a bit of time for prayer (was at church yesterday and realized i miss that connection)

I need to be more aware that as I decide it doesn't matter if i skip that today.....it means I am saying I don't really matter.

I have always felt that spending too much time on myself was selfish....this may be a challenge....

there is a sense of accomplishment as I do find time to do little things for myself, as well as things I dread that need to be done (Dad was the world's biggest procrastinator...He would teach me well)

Watch out for #3. Selfless means to have little or no concern for oneself. From what I see, you are pretty selfless already. Too selfless and we let people take advantage of us (stbx comes to mind).

Selfless is ok when you're caring for people who are powerless - babies, little children, sick and in firmed, the elderly - all to a point. You can't forget about feeding the machine (you) or the machine breaks down. If you're religious, I guess selfless to god is a good thing too.
