A Mother\'s Day to remember!

It has been a wonderful day! Even though I'm PMS'ing (still!) & had a few down moments, I quickly pushed negativity to the back burner & enjoyed the day.:) This morning, my youngest & I attanded church. We hadn't been for the past 2 weeks for various reasons but I was glad to be back. I panicked at first because the first thing I saw when I sat down was Communion set up up front of the church. The pastor had said a sermon one of the first weeks I had gone months ago & stated how it was sinful to participate in Communion if you did not truly believe in Christ.  It has been months now & I somehow managed to miss most of the times that Communion was performed. On the odd occassion that I was present, I declined as I felt that my faith was not what it should've been. Today, however, I thought about it almost throughout the entire sermon before it was time. I decided I was ready....scared because I had never taken part before & what if I did something wrong..... I took the cube of bread (I was one of the first as I was seated in the front) & as I sat & waited til it was time, I turned the cube in my fingers & it really was a moving experience. It held full meaning to me that this was Christ's body...I teared up as I sat there. It was a very powerful moment for me & I knew that I was ready. Then came the wine (grape juice...much better than wine :) )...same thing. Deep contemplation as I waited. I have never really experienced anything as moving as that was.  After church, we returned home to find that my oldest had gotten off work earl so we all played a game of Disney's Scene It...I actually won although I think they let me cause I really suck at that game. We then watched half of Hercules then we went out for supper together.....I ate way too much!  Once my youngest was in bed, my oldest & I watched P.S. I Love You......I cried so hard through that! But it was nice to spend that time with her....It was a perfect day all around. I hope all my friends had a great day as well....:)
