A moment in time to cherish
Hi Sisters,
Well, it's finally Friday and I'm off for 2 weeks.....yay.....SIGH. I am working on about 2 hours sleep today as Lahti, my fur baby, was sick last night with vomiting and diarrhea. I gave her a chewy for her teeth/gums and I don't think it was good for her...I'm hoping that is it and today she will be better. I had to work today as I'm going to be off for 2 weeks.
Last night I had dinner with Hunter. Oh, what a great time we had. He was telling me about a plan (built on straws) as he put it but it's a plan when he becomes an adult......He and four other friends want to move to San Diego and rent a house and he is thinking about a trade school of some sort - he said maybe mechanic, welding, something to do with his hands and is outdoors BUT he realizes he needs to get through high school and that is a struggle. But to sit and listen to him and encourage him and see the small steps of maturity he is making.....His mom would be proud.
He was raised in a Christian home, however Jennifer was very extreme in her belief. He did say he doesn't believe in God - he was about 8 or 9 when he didn't believe anymore but never would have told his mom.....I listened with my heart.....we talked.....and today I'm feeling joy in my heart because I took the time to BE......

Enjoy the time off. It sounds like Hunter is finding himself. How wonderful. My spirituality is not based in the Christian (or any organized religion) so can relate to his feelings very well.
I hope Lahti is better. I chuckle when I see Lahti's name. I am Finnish and it is a common sir name!

Sorry your pup isn't feeling well. I hope the worst is over. Hunter sounds delightful. I really enjoyed my grandchildren in all their developmental stages but young adulthood is neat. Oh, how I remember the countdown until vacations! I hope you can enjoy your time off and it refreshes your spirt. I also hope your pup is through with her digestive troubles. Mine had it a couple days ago and it did not last long. I will continue to pray for you and Hunter. Sending love, Leda

I have no doubt Hunter will be forever grateful for your listening presence as he works on figuring out his life path. It will change I have no doubt, yet the LOVE that you share is the constant he can always count on.
