A Milestone
Hello DS Family,
Today is a special day for me, I have reached a milestone and I feel good that I can share it with you who truly understand. Today is my 50th birthday and six months ago the possibility of making it to my next birthday was grim at best.
Now I know many of you have reached this age and beyond and understand the importance of being able to see another year. From following the various discussions here on DS it has been very encouraging in my daily recovery.
What did I do to deserve anothert day? I just continue to live life to the fullest each day because if/when there isn't a tomorrow I have done my best and getting this far and avoiding all the things that life has to offer is surely a Blessing. We all here have been made aware that the one thing you cannot take for granted is your health, and have been made aware of this thru a rude awakening called a MI.
I feel good today and have made great progress from strict exercise and diet and keeping with my medication. All thanks to the Almighty!
Well now that I'm in my 50's I'm gonna make these years as good as any...

That was one hell of a gracious journal entry. That\'s what it\'s all about. Gratitude and that comes through loud and clear. I cannot add to that entry accept to say \"Rock on Dude\" These kind of posts make it all possible for us to see a year and beyond. 50 Wow. What and Old Fart. LOL
