A lovely vacation! In the hospital - yeah.

Hey all, this is what I just wrote to my GP (see below in orange), the one I've had less than a year.  What do you think about my writing being clear and reaching her?
I'm trying so hard to get these 'new' doctors up to date and on my side.  Since I've been thro this cycle so many, many times over the past 8.5 years. you'd think MY experience would count for SOMETHING!!  Grrr.  But if you all can think of anything I might say to get them on my side, I'd so appreciate it.
BTW: I went into CCH (cape cod hospital) April 4th with severe pancreatisit, liver inflammation and kidneys malfunctioning.  I stayed until April 14th when the hospitalist basically LIED and kicked me out He SAID I'd have until MON, then would either have to go home or to a rehab on the PICC line.  So Matt came to see me Sun after working and checked in with me and the hospitalist.  Matt has been sick maybe 1/2 dozen times in the 15 years we've been together and then only for a few days.  This time, he was sick for 2 weeks!  So he REALLY needed his rest Sun afternoon/eve so he could work 8am-8:30pm Mon.  So not only did the hospitalist screw me over with my health, but he also screwed Matt over by LYING to him about when to get me.  Grrr.  I wish I could get what they say in WRITING.    Anyways, this ongoing crippling pain (since beginning of Jan) has been the reason for my absence.  I'm praying hard that I can get admitted again and get on TPN.  I'm hurting so bad - yesterday was a 10 and I thought I would die.  Ugh.  Miss you all and sure hope you're able to enjoy this lovely spring and are doing WAY better than Moi!  Take care, Nibs

So, I'm really hurting badly. I know I'm having a relapse with my pancreas/liver/kidney. I'm thinking I should go to CCH and get admitted again but don't want to waste what little energy I have if you and Dr. Kelly think I should do something else. I know Matt made a 7am appt this Wed, but honestly I'm wondering if I can make it. Last night I was in so much pain, I just laid there (after vomiting) and moaned for hours (quietly so I didn't freak Matt out too much). Eating and/or drinking hurts so much I'm just going to stop both. Since I already feel dehydrated, this will make it worse, I know and getting an IV in will be really difficult. But I can't take the pain anymore. I'm thinking at this point that I should just do a PICC line if they admit me and go back on TPN. I tried to tell the hospitalist, Dr. Champagne, that I really didn't feel ready to go home and needed another day on the TPN. He seemed more worried about how much IV fluid and TPN cost ($100 and $1000's respectively) than about whether I was ok. I will say for the first time I can remember I actually ate solids and kept them down for Apr 13-14ish. But once I got home, the nausea and vomiting started again, as I expected. Sorry to write so much but I feel completely stuck. I know I have such a long and complicated history with the ERCP causing CP and you, Dr. Hallemeier, have so many other patients and responsibilities. I wish I could fix this myself but without backing (you and Dr. Kelly at least), it's a 50/50 chance they just toss me back home. What should I do? Just try to hang in another day and see you Wed 7am? If so, could you get me xport to the hospital? I have such a horrible time sitting up, I can't tolerate sitting in the ER waiting room (altho I'm fine with waiting my turn, I just can't sit up). Sorry in advance for yet another problem dumped on your lap. Thank you so much for any help/advice you can offer. I'll keep the phone with me by the bed tomorrow just in case you call. Take care, Robbin
