A long day

Today I had game day in the morning at school. It seemed never ending. My mind was not focused on gambling at all. I remember certain years that that was the only thing that i could think about. I  told my friends that it will be nice during summer because I will not have to be accountable to them. I told them that I will be accountable for myself. They didn't think that was a very good idea, but I know if I do anything wrong that I will call or probably text them to make sure that I am holding myself accountable. I am not planning on doing anything wrong. I am going to take it one day at a time and try too have a successful summer vacation. I would hope that maybe I could call my friends up and do something fun with them instead of calling to give them bad news.

Hmm, I find this remark quite interesting \" I told my friends that it will be nice during summer because I will not have to be accountable to them. I told them that I will be accountable for myself.\" Not suggesting anything here at all.
For me, being accountable to other people (my GA group, Friends here on DS), has sometimes made ALL the difference.
It is wonderful that we can now get through entire days without thoughts of that accursed place. Hugs, ~Estel

I know that I will turn to my friends if I need them this summer. They are great friends and they will always be there for me. I just meant that I will not be seeing them daily at school. I also have a church group, DS, and other friends outside of school to be accountable to. I just feel like I talk to them about my addiction too much. I do not want to bother them. If it wasn\'t for my friends at school, I would have lost everything. They helped me more than I can ever explain. I am so very grateful to have them as my friend. I also will go to my counselor over the summer.
