A little worried
Good Morning everyone,
Steve goes for scans next Wednesday and I am a little worried. For the first time since he started this 3 week cycle of Sutent he has had a difficult month. He has had problems with his feet and has been very emotional. I wonder if all this trouble with our youngest daughter has hurt him. Physically I mean. The stress for a couple of weeks was heart breaking and certainly on his mind a lot.
He has blisters on his feet for the first time in months. I know its so painful that he can bearly wear his shoes. I realize he has been more active this month so I pray its attributed to that. He will have scans on next Wednesday and also have a heart echo. One of the side effect of Sutent is heart damage. Sunday his head hurt really bad and after church he just layed around in his pjs.
I see I repeated myself, but that happens when you are getting older!! LOL
On Saturday we saw a show at the local theatre. A beach blast oldies. Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs, plus several other acts I can't remember the name of. Again another sign of old age. It was a great show and we laughed a lot. I love Steve so much and he is my world. Please say an extra prayer for him and all the others who so desperately need it, We have so many of our good friends suffering.

Wanda, I am so sorry Steve is having a rough time. Sutent can have some really hard side effects. I hope he gets good reports.

Poor Steve! It sounds like he\'s experiencing some miserable side effects from Sutent. Yep! No doubt that the situation with your daughter has him very upset......she\'s \"daddy\'s little girl\"!
It\'s wonderful that y\'all were able to go and enjoy that show. Maurice Williams was my all time favorite. How I love \"Beach Music\"!
I will be saying special prayers that the scan and echo results are good, Hon.

Dear Wanda, My thoughts and prayers are always with you two as it is with all my DS friends. I even ask M to help out all he can from \"above\".
I recall when M had pain and sores on his feet....the things that helped a lot was soaking everynight with epsom salt and gentle foot massages...If his feet were too sore, we skipped the massage. He also bought shoes a size larger than usual and put those gel inserts in the shoe to help relieve friction. I hope the side effects become easier for Steve. Keep up your spirits my friend. Yes ,I was reminded how stress affects the system . We are going through a mess with our youngest daughter also . { Hers is just ex boyfriend no children}

Wanda, will be saying some prayers for the both of you. Scan time is no fun. Lean on the Lord, no matter what the results of the scan is. Hope that Steve gets a break from the side effects.

Prayers for you both dear Wanda. I have no doubt that stress can have a toll on the body, but no doubt also that Steve will be able to get through this. I\'ll be thinking of you both on scanday, and holding you in the light. Wishing you a few days free from worry,

Hi Wanda, you and Steve are always in my prayers, but I will pray extra for this. So many things come up in the treatment of cancer that one can never anticipate. I remember the side effects, all of the extra products, clothing, food that had to be bought and other little tricks we had to learn to accommodate for those darn side effects. Every day, it seemed there was some adjustment to be made. Dan had lots of foot problems, sores, numbness, swelling. He wore a size 12 too and finding bigger ones to compensate for the swelling and tenderness and still be comfortable for him was nearly impossible at times. We got him a couple of pair of house shoes that could pass for street shoes. He never could stand any thing on his feet if it they weren\'t sneakers or cowboy boots. He hated wearing those house shoes in public, but when the swelling got really bad, he had no choice.

Hey Angie, Steve has done the same thing before, wearing the house shoes out to eat, even to church when he could not fit those big ole feet into the regular shoes. Love you, Angie
