A Little Progress

I turned in a third application on Friday. It was for my local YWCA. I explained that it is an emergency situation.My therapist told me that she'd write a note stating that I have to have my cat Maria for medical reasons, mostly for the betterment of my mental health. Honestly, my baby girl has trained herself to be a service animal-without any help from me. She will stay with me when I'm in pain or sick. She checks on me when I fall. When I'm upset, she licks me. This has honestly pulled me out of flashbacks. Somedays, she's the only reason I get out of bed. I really hope my therapist keeps her promise, because I don't know what I'd do without my Maria. She loves to perch on my chair. She needs me & I need her. She will meow non-stop when I leave the house. I have prayed & I believe God will find me a safe, accessible, place for Maria & me.
