A Little Minute
I should probably be updating this a lot more than I've been doing. Nothing's changed. Nothing's different. Everything's the same. Foot's numb... moreso on some days.
Finally admitted that a lot of what I've been ignoring... due to the mentality that "Mommy just sucks it up and moves on" is actual pain and I should probably be taking my oxy for it. I think, though, I'm on a mental self-challenge to see how long this one bottle of Oxy can last. So far, I haven't given in to taking one in over two months! And even that was one, one day, thing.
Now, I'm just dealing with exhaustion, losing trains of thought (choo choo!) and the embarrassment of mispronouncing things... Yesterday, I tried to joke with my son about being dyslexic when he spelled something backwards... it was funny, not mean or making fun of, you had to be there. LOL I told him, joked, that he was diclexic (mispelled on purpose). I was absolutely sure that that was the word but both my kids looked at me as though I grew a 2nd head. Finally, my daughter said "Mommy... don't you mean dyslexic?" After turning what I'd said over and over in my mouth a few times I just sighed and agreed. Yes, Dyslexic... that's what I meant. That's what I knew I meant. English was my strength in college. My head knew that that's what I'd meant... my mouth, though, had other ideas. Le sigh.
...there goes that train. (choo choo!)
In the mean time, and to alleviate some of the boredom when I'm too tired to do more than computer game or web surf, I've been collecting little "sayings". I didn't know I could upload pics here but I think I'll do so now... or soon. Some are funny. Some give pause and some are just, simply, encouraging.
...still working on normalcy. Not quite there yet.
