A little funny

I came home after spending the weekend with the love of my life.  As always I invited her to come along and meet his daughter ( there are close in age), but she said she was busy so I left it as that.  When I came in, my daughter actually hugged me....or try to she said she was exhausted, she was on 3 hours of sleep she has been cramming for tests and writing 3 papers.  She started telling me about her day and somewhere she told started to tell me:  "Well, since your boyfriend really, really , wants to  mee..." when I turned around my daugther has fallen asleep face down on the couch.  It was funny!
I tried to put her arms up to wake her to no avail.  So I walked her to her room and kind of flopped her on bed.   I woke her up at 4am and she was able to finished her papers.
She fell asleep again and I called her from work to wake her up at 9am.  She was thankful, and sounded sincere.  It is a little weird but it is almost as she is no longer angry with me.  In fact the was no trace of anger or resentment in her words, in her demeanor, to the contrary she is treating me not with joy but....with acceptance.  I take that.
I will continue to live a better life, to make new friends that are willing and pleasantly surprised of my new recipes.  I think that will help, and I hope one day she will joined me,  I know she will have fun.
But for now, I take: "Ok this is the best hug I can give you, cause I am exhausted" it was honest and meaningful.
Here is to hope!!
