A little down tonight
So I'm hoping this is the start of my PMSing tonight as I'm feeling quite emotional. As of today I am 15 days late and I took a pregnancy test last Sunday and it was negative. I had been sick for quite awhile and took an antibiotic and also was on a corticosteroid inhaler for a couple days so I'm hoping all those things combined is what's done it.
So David's been on a business trip for the last couple days and I went to a meeting on Tuesday night. Today, and not just today but in general I guess, I am just homesick for my friends back East. I walked outside just a minute ago to get something from my car and our neighbors to the right were out front with some of our neighbors to the left just hanging out in front of the house. Both the ladies are ready to pop pregnant and also have toddlers and I introduced myself to the ones I hadn't met yet, but I didn't feel like I could just go over and hang out either. I just don't feel quite ready to make friends here yet.
I guess a part of me just doesn't want to start over with new people again. I finally found friends in Virginia after 5 years of having no friends that I could really truly relate to and who were real, and then I left for Colorado. Not that I'm not loving it here, because there are so many more opportunities here then I ever would have had had we stayed in Virginia, but it's just so much easier when everyone already knows the hard parts and they choose to love you regardless.
Okay, so enough with the crying... here's a gratitude list to compensate:
Today I am grateful for:
-having a job-my green thumb and my garden-david's brother letting us stay with him-my dog to keep me company-my Al-Anon program for giving me the tools to not stay in a sad place
