A little demotivated
I'm not sure if it's a result of depression or just being mentally burned our but i'm feeling less motivated about school and working out. When you have to read essentially a huge book(if you add all the class readings together) every week, you just get mentally tired. It probably doesn't help that I'm a senior and have been going to school for a lot of semesters in a row because I elected to do summer classes this summer in order to graduate. I just don't feel motivated like I did at the beginning of the semester. I've been doing better working out and have actually accomplished some great things but the last week or 2 has been stagnant. I don't know what it is I want. Maybe what I want is unreasonable. Maybe what I want is a week or 2 vacation with absolutely no responsibilities. I just don't see that happening anytime soon. Not to sound like a whiny baby but I haven't had a break in forever. When your tuition is like $1000 a class and you don't have PTO, you don't miss much work.
When summer semester ended, my "break" between summer and fall semester was working 40-50 hours per week at a paying job and my nonpaid internship...normally I was doing like 80 hours a week. I'm not nearly as busy as back then but A) it's cold and I don't like to do much in the winter(although it is starting to be 50's now) and B) I think how I feel right now isn't a reflection of right now; it's a reflection of being overworked for a long time couple with insomnia, stress, anxiety, etc.
My spring break this semester has the potential to be fun but it also worries me. For a class I'll be at a National Park resort which will be cool because I haven't been there in years and will get to see natural wilderness and occasionally do fun stuff like hiking. The bad news is its a pretty rigorous class...we'll be there 3 or 4 days and essentially doing stuff from 7 A.M to 9 P.M at night. Most of it shouldn't be hard because we just take notes on various stakeholders but those are incredibly long days if you're experiencing insomnia. I haven't been sleeping the best lately. I really hope I don't have a bad bout of insomnia in front of everybody. I've enjoyed my schooling experience but I really need a break from it. I somehow just need to make it through a few more semesters. Not sure how to regain motivation yet though.
