A Little Dab'll Do Ya!
WHAT??? You young people are scratching your head, but the senior ladies are laughing. Back in the 1950's, that was the slogan for a men's hair cream. All they needed was a little DAB.
On Sunday after lunch at my sister's, there was a lemon cake. I didn't want to blow my low sugar program, so I settled for a VERY little "dab". My brother in law cut me the tiniest little "cube" (an inch by an inch by an inch) of cake I'd ever eaten.
It was literally TWO BITES. But people, that little dab was really ALL I NEEDED. I savored it with obscene pleasure and it satisfied me!
I was at my sister's, so there was no chance of my going back later for more. Can't have sweets in my apt. of course, but I was happy to have that little bit of a taste and know that YES A SMALL PORTION can sometimes be enough!
