A Little Concerned
Yesterday, my son came to dinner & just sat there. I mean, I asked him if he wanted pasta on his plate (while I was serving my daughter & myself) & he said no, he’d serve himself. But later he asked that I serve him & I said that he said he would serve himself. (I don’t mind doing it when I have the spoon in my hand, but he is 15 yrs old & capable of doing it himself.) So he didn’t eat.
So I asked him later if something was bothering him. He said no, that he felt like he ate a lot that day (he only had lunch & maybe a snack, I’m not sure) & that he “felt fat”. Now, this boy is a stick! I told him it was ok if he was full, but I was concerned that he’d be going 24 hours without food (since he usually doesn’t eat breakfast & wouldn’t eat till lunch the next day). No dice.
This could be just a little blip—maybe even just heartburn. Just need to keep my eyes on him to see if this might be an indirect control issue, though.
On another note, I spoke with the hospital to see how my aunt breathed during her “off the ventilator” test Monday. The nurse I spoke with (whose English wasn’t too great) said she did “not good” so they didn’t do the test Tuesday but would the next day. I want to get her off that darn thing!
