A little bit of positive

I'm feeling a little bit more positive since my last update on the 16th.
Today I saw my doctor because (check my last journal entry) I was feeling 'somewhat' anxious. It was difficult going to the docs today because of my anxiety, and my appointment was half and hour late as the doctor was busy/behind schedule, but I was determined to get something to help me, and so I sat and waited in a 'somewhat' anxious state.
After some discussion the doctor agreed that I'm suffering from GAD, which is Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and he prescribed me Pregabalin - Lyrica, which is quite a new form a drug used initially to help people with spinal cord damage, fibromyalgia and seizures, but also as a drug to help people (as of 2007 in the EU at least) with GAD.
So I feel a little bit positive knowing I'm not just letting the anxiety get on top of me, which to be honest of late it had been, and doing something to help my brain. I also agreed to meet the doctor half way and exercise more often.
I'm not worried about the supposed weight gain with these drugs, I've had that since I took antidepressants in the past.
I know drugs are not the 'magic bullets' but I know from past experience they can go a long way to making you feel normal.
I will post an update in a week or so to let you all know my experience with Lyrica and if they help.
Catch you later.
