A little better........

Oh, but your family think that they know so much, don't they? After a night of panic attacks, one after the other, I went straight to the doctors and he gave me a thorough check over. My BP and HR was spot on and my oxygen was at 99 per cent. Next, I had an ECG which came back and yes, it had evolved and that was to be expected. Same old infarction though. No new one. Excellent! I have been prescribed some meds to cope with the anxiety and after taking them, I feel better immediately. The panic attack has subsided albeit slowly. Well, I'd had it been with me all night so it's going to take some time to go. But I feel like I have some tools to work with, now. I have information and I know why to expect. My support group rallied around me and said "of course you're having a panic attack - that's totally to be expected" . Thank God for them because a frightened family will just accuse you of overdoing it with adrenaline levels running at def con 6. This is unhelpful and upsetting. One needs to speak to fellow survivors who have information, guidance and understanding. Bless them all. I look forward to feeling better tomorrow and each day after that - or at least I have the tools to do so.
