A LIttle Better

Well, I am doing a little better.  I did a long distance drive on Monday.  I was very beat and it was pouring rain all day.  Bad fire in Pottsville PA.  So far this week I have only gotten 2 new fires.  So Tuesday, Wednesday, today and tomorrow, I am working from home.  I am beginning to see a noticeable decrease in the piles, as well as the phone calls of screaming people!  Phew!  Thank God!  I am very tired of the cold and desperate for Spring and warmer, sunnier weather!  Even if we got some sun once in a while, I would feel better but it has been cold and blah. I woke up today and felt sick again.  I thought for a while that maybe it was stress and something I ate.  But Paul wasn't feeling good last night either.  And my eating this week is much better.  So maybe I am coming down with something?  I should have taken Pepto Bismol.  I have been somewhat back on track with eating since Monday.  Only got to the Y on Monday so far this week and then Tuesday took the dog for a nice walk.  So steps for those two days were 9500 and 10000.  Last week's steps were horrible.  Yesterday was only 4100.  So I have to get those back on track.  I will try to get to the Y tomorrow AM.   Movie recommendation:  I watched "My Sister's Keeper" with Cameron Diaz the other day.  Wow!  The book I think was written by Jodi Piccoult.  I read "Nineteen Minutes" by the same author.  This one will need at least 1 full tissue box.  The book/movie is about a girl who was a test tube baby and was "made" because her sister had cancer and they needed bone marrow and a kidney to match to save her life.  All I can say is "Wow" and pass the tissues!  Very good movie!  Can't watch this one a treadmill I am afraid! I am also reading Stephen King's latest:  "Under the Dome."  Anyone who has ever read King, knows he is wordy.  But this one is 1088 pages!  Phew!  I am almost 1/2 way through.  I think this is one of my favorites.   Other than that, same old same old.  Paul has been sorta cleaning and putting stuff away.   I know you guys ALL told me to quit sweating the size and I agree, but my mom called me today.  My sister is down to 140 lbs and she says a size 4!!!!!  WTF!  I am 144 and between a 12 and a 10!  Hopefully a couple more lbs and I should be in my size 10's.  How could she be in a 4?  She is the same height as me, MAYBE an inch taller!  Man.  That is depressing to me.  And, in my whole life she has NEVER weighed less than me or been a smaller size than me!  Ugh! Thanks for all of your support!  Trying to catch up with everyone!  Boy, 1 week and I missed a lot!

Awww, I hope you feel better sweetie. Yup, it\'s flu season, so just take care of yourself. I know you\'re are stressed, so that probably didn\'t help the situation much. Try and hang in there.
Yes, the wieght plateaus are hard to take. You work and work and work. Stress does have a huge factor in it. I truly believe this. I think you\'ve done wonderfully personally. If it weren\'t for you, I would probably have not got off my butt and started up on workouts again. Know I love you. Take care of you! ((hugs))

I am so glad the fires have slowed down for a bit. Hope you can get a bit \'you time\'. What do you do all day on those long drives? A couple of self help tapes would be cool! Books on tape? I would go bonkers!
You are doing a great job on the steps...I have a hard time getting mine up to 7000 now during the winter.

I am so sorry about your crazy sourroundings, glad things are better. All you can do is what you are able and do what you can. Life is just crazy sometimes. Don\'t sweat the size, I\'m a 10-12 and weigh 140 lbs, my friend is maybe an inch taller, 138 but also wears a 4 - they must just be smaller on the bottom half. I have these thighs!!! Sucks really but I\'m learning to just accept them!!! I know I will never be in a 4, 10\'s would be perfectly fine for me. Maybe an 8 but that would be tough to stay there I think. I think your doing amazing with all that\'s going on. My mom loves Steven King, oh and that movie, I think I\'m gonna have to rent now. Love Cameron Diaz! Love those types of movies. I\'ve been DVR Lifetime Movie Network to watch when I\'m running on the treadmill. It works! Hang in there! Hugs, Kathy

NO WAY...Could be a height thing but it sounds like she would have to be much taller than you... My sister is a size 4 and weighs less than 100 lbs...but to be fair she\'s also only 4\'11\" tall and I am 5\'2\" tall...and will most likely NEVER be a size 4 and I am fine with that. Heck, I\'ll probably never get below a size 9 or 8 at the smallest because of...yes...my thighs and my ample bum...and large breasts...and birthin\' hips. Body shape, bone density, height...all factor in. So, do not compare yourself to your sister. If I compared myself to my sisters (all shorter, flatter chested, smaller boned than me) I would rive myself INSANE!!!

Oh, that movie...could NEVER watch it or I would be no more good for the rest of the day...possibly two. I can\'t even get through a Jodi Piccoult book because I get so emotional...Alice Sebold too!!! OMG!!! Heck, I backed out of seeing (or reading) Marley and me after my sister (who has an aging Golden Retriever that I LOVE) saw it and warned me NOT to EVER watch it!!!
I am curious about Under The Dome. I\'m not much for his writing but I did enjoy The Stand and I\'ve heard this is along that vein.
You do pretty darn good on those steps most days so don\'t beat yourself up.
Daily goals may fluctuate depending on your schedule (and how far you have to travel for work) and not every day can be a 10000+ steps day!!! Just keep walking...that is the point!!!
Thanks for the offer to help with the house moving...don\'t think I won\'t be recruiting any and all resources!!! LOL!!! I will let you know the details as I have them. Food and beverages will be offered after a full day of moving and during the move we\'ll have water and fruit to keep people hydrated and full of energy!
Hope your weekend is full of good things!!!

Hope you are feeling better and things are getting less hectic. I know you feel better already getting things situated! Don\'t even give another thought to the size thing, focus on you and only you. I love Jodi Picoult\'s books.....I hear My Sister\'s Keeper movie was different than the book, so I have yet to watch it. I hate when they change things up. Nineteen Minutes was excellent. \"Change of Heart\" and \"The Pact are great as well from her if you like reading. You doing great, just focus on you and getting better!
