A journey of 1,000 miles(or 130 lbs) begins with a single step...

I joined this site today because I am in need of a support group. I need to know there are people out there who are going through at least some of the things I am going through. I have basically no friends who care about me. I stay at home all day with my mother and our pets while my husband brings home what little income his job provides.
Since 2004, I have gained 110 pounds. I barely recognize myself. All I have ever wanted in life is children. I met the man of my dreams several years ago. He shares my love of children and he will make an incredible father.
We do not have much in life, but we do have love.
I am determined to find a way to lose 130 pounds in the next 8 months. I want to do it in a healthy way, so that my periods will become at least somewhat regular and so that I will hopefully be able to get pregnant. I know that since I have always been irregular, I will need help from a doctor. But I do not believe I will need anything drastic. At least, that is my prayer.
I am hoping to connect with people who understand at least some of what I am going through and would like to provide support. I am a wonderful listener and friend and can provide support to others as well.
Please, let there be someone out there who would like to help me.
