SUMMER JOYS! :) SUMMER TRADITIONS! :) We're enjoying a nice peaceful thursday, with some gardening, writing, and also looking forward to many more super cool summer days, including our annual PICKLES themed baking friday adventure tomorrow! :) i've been tending our plants today, putting some nice organic soil, around the stem bases of the plants : )we have rain in our forecast, for the upcoming days :) the nice rain will be great, and nourishing for the plants, and we wanted to make sure we put the organic soil around the stem bases, so that plants can be feed the nutrients :) i've been spirit soaring around our yard, and gardens today, and also treated myself to a blueberry iced coffee :) Delicious! :) CHEERS!!! :) my sister Lisa, and niece Alyssa went to dunkin donuts this morning :) i've been enjoying some time online, writing postcards :) feeling relaxed, spirited, and energized :) there's 1 week away, until my favorite football team, the Redskins play their 1st preseason game! :) Football is coming back!!! :) We're ready to welcome the month of August, with continued summer time joys, and traditions :) Thank you angel friends, for brightening our days :) we're gearing up, for a super fun, pickles themed baking friday adventure tomorrow :) calling all cookie monsters! :) cookie monsters unite!!! :) it's almost time to bake! bake! bake! :)
Hi angel friends! :) blueberry iced coffee CHEERS!!! on this sweet peaceful, and relaxing summer day :) we had some very happy birds, singing outside here this morning :) i was walking around our yard, during my early morning nature walk, i saw these cute little birds, some looked like sparrows, and 2 of the birds looked like warbler birds :) i was listening in, as they sang happily :) it's such a sweet peaceful joy of summer time, to hear the birds :) The birds are in all of their glory, as they enjoy their nature home, and all of the goodies, and treats we put around our yard :) i've been seeing more and more birds, visiting the bird sanctuary in our area :) it's so nice :) i love beginning my day, with a nature walk during sunrise :) it's been a nice sunny week, and there's so many nature joys :)
During the evening yesterday, my family and i enjoyed nice quality time together :) my mom and Lisa cooked some hotdogs, and make an awesome salad too :) We enjoyed the nice dinner :) after 7pm, my dad and i went outside, to check the plants :) We love our evening nature walks :) i was showing my dad the plants, we're really excited, about how well the plants are doing :) my dad loved to see the tomato plant i saved, during spring time :) it has a nice tomato growing on the plant :) my dad's been doing great, putting nice support stakes in our gardens, for the plants, the cosmos, and tomato plants have grown so much, and the nice extra support, from the support stakes, helps the plants, as they continue to grow, and flourish :) my dad and i were talking about the plants, and so pleased, and very proud, of how well they are doing :) the tomatoes, peppers, string beans, oh my! :) We got LOTS and LOTS!!! of string beans beginning to grow, along with cucumbers, our grapes, potatoes, and corn plants looking very hearty, and healthy :)
i love to see all of the sunflowers, growing so TALL! TALL! TALL! :) WOW! :) i remember, back in the early spring season, planting sunflower seeds, in planters, in our garden greenhouse :) seeing the sprouts, and those sunflower sprouts leaning toward the evening sun, as it approached to becoming the summer sun :) The 1st joys, of opening those packets of sunflower seeds, and holding the seeds in my hand, and then planting them, sunflower journeys and dreams blossoming beautifully :) now, these sunflowers, standing strong, tall, and proudly in the gardens, and leaning toward the sun, they are spirit soaring, happy sunny sunflowers, with lots of sunshine smiles :) We have many nice sunflowers growing, and more beginning to blossom! : )The "garden greeter" sunflower, has began to blossom :) this sunflower, sprouted near the entrance of our garden, "the sunflower field of hope and unfailing faith" :) i remember in it's early growing stages, the insects/bugs ate a lot of the sunflowers leaves, but the sunflower has grown so nicely, and is completing it's incredible journey :)

Each summer season, my family and i love to have a baking friday adventure, where we make homemade pickles :) it's always so much fun :) We're gonna be making pickles tomorrow, along with baking some nice goodies, for baking friday :) it'll be a big adventure :) today i've been gathering up some of our empty jars we have saved, we also have our canning jars with lids :) it's gonna be awesome, making the pickles :) my niece Alyssa, is so thrilled! :) She LOVEs pickles! :) They're her favorite! : )She's always loved and enjoyed pickles, and even sometimes drinks some pickle juice! :) hehe! :) When we make pickles, we use this huge cooking pot, the vinegar/water and dill seasoning, makes our whole kitchen and living room smell like pickles :) we love to add in some garlic into the pickle jars too :) we're so very much ,looking forward to the adventure :) we love pickles :) i like to put pickles in my salads, and sandwiches :) good, wholesome, and delicious :)
