A good weekend.
I didn't expect this since I had to be at home this weekend instead of visiting friends....but I had a really good weekend. On Friday I cleaned my bedroom and bathroom really good and it felt so good that on Saturday I cleaned the kitchen and living room.....floors, windows and every piece of furniture. Then today I worked in my flower beds and did the final mowing. It may not sound like a good way to spend the weekend but I feel more like ME this weekend than I have since Bob got sick. It may not last but boy am I enjoying every second! I hope everyone feels as good as I do! Love you all.

I know it feels so good when we can go on as normal and do the things we always did without the pain of grief. For now you got back to normal. I know how you feel that it may not last but I imagine that those moments of back to normal will become more and more frequent. A blessing and gift of a special weekend very much needed in our lives. hugs and blessings

Cathy, it does feel good to feel more normal. I have learned to take these times and just go with them. I know there will be times when the pain will come in full force. What I have found is that the new normal will last long, the bad times a bit less often. This is our life and I want to be the best me I can be. I am proud of you. Big hugs! Sallie
