"A good lawyer knows the law, a great lawyer knows the judge//sale at the church//hale and rain 75
"... old legal joke that a good lawyer knows the law, but a great lawyer knows the judge. the ultimate insider ... It's a lawyer who represents a lot of local politicos or locals that hold power of some sort; and as a result, incredible deference is given to that lawyer's desires ... said lawyer would be hired by the people who want the access that a well-known or high profile lawyer can get, the contacts that that kind of lawyer has and the favors that that lawyer has done for those in positions of power. It's being savvy about how the system works, and not just about what the law books say, that makes for a highly effective lawyer. It's a question of knowing who does what, of which people need to make what decisions, who you talk to first if you really want to get something done...
unfortunately, the legal field is mostly corrupt (between 50 and 90 percent), a lot of what is done is "illegal" but the people doing the illegal stuff are also representing "the law" and know people inside the courthouse to undo that it is them, and pin it on someone else as needed. its disgusting and depraved. (i've heard the medical field is even worse, but i haven't worked inside of it, so don't know that one first hand yet).
Its also a matter of pigeoning files (which is "illegal and a form of robbery", but goes on every single day (copying and switching out files from one office for use in another office and then putting the original file back, unbeknownst to the office that was just pigeoned), switching the text out of parts of paperwork and transcript including what witnesses and expert witnesses said; who will and who won't look the other way or change things around and lots of missing items, evidence or people absent on crucial days or disappearing completely. Incompetents being hired on purpose to bungle things on purpose as needed so a case or a political race will go a certain way ..."
some lawyers are also complete forgers, and if they worked doing the same thing on the street they would be considered "professional forgers" which is what they really are. would love to meet a lawyer who isn't also a criminal, that woud be interesting. how many go into the legal field on any level at all because they already ARE criminals (you don't have to go to jail to be a criminal you merely have to commit crime, less than 1% of the criminals out there go to jail), and think its the easiest way to get away with continuing to commit crime without going to jail - by joining the field. grrrr. depraved and more depraved. then they will invent awards and trophies and give them to each other for the corrupt work they do - did they doooo any work, or just more fill in the blank from a form and filing it or dictating the same something over and over again which they have memorized because they use it so frequently. kind of like the book "how to say it" but with legalees ... which means those memorized documents could easily be forms just like everything else in the legal field, anyway. is that work?
then they say, well, trial work is a GAME, you have to know the PROCEDURES or you lose, it doesn't MATTER who is right or wrong. wow. what a totally piece of shit legal system. why are we paying taxes for this? totally lost the focus -- the point of a legal system huh?
its a scam.
having a very hectic day because of the rain and hale storms. our alarm was going off and they discovered a sprinkler is pointed straight at it and is causing a "ground default" from it, they need to cover that sensor or reposition the sprinkler, though won't the rain get it then anyway?
kind of bored lately for no real reason. saw c briefly, he can get a loan on his 401k for a ten year term for a mortgage at 3.8 percent. i told him to do it. who wouldn't. he says the fees make the payments impossible. have to look at that. doesn't sound right at all. he's still negotiating for that house. he's dying to leave florida, he likes to ski.
the pollen is super high, i go outside and i sneeze like crazy. probably that is bugging me. also went to the sale at the church and got books and corelle. when my knee was messed up i discovered it caused me to have no strength in general and corelle helped with that. now i know why people buy corelle. also got a maritime clock with rope knots on it that i have wanted for a while. teresa was gone again so it was worth going there. lol. can't believe that matters. everyone was cheery. talked to the guy around the block. he looks waaaay better lately and says he hasn't seen the orange cat, its missing about ten days now. i need to know what is up with that and supposedly the new guy in the apartment building knows something. also troy moved out. yay! he was the one making trouble to begin with in the house behind w. troy moved to edgewater which is way far south of here. yay!!! hope the next person is an animal lover and NORMAL and not setting traps. omg!

My brother is a lawyer! I truely don\'t believe that all lawyers belong under the sea, but his lawyer personality of \"pushy\" and \"always right\" is really annoying in the family setting. Or any setting outside of the office. He doesn\'t seem to be able to turn off the \"attack\" button when things are laid back. I feel sorry for him. I don\'t really know him that well. He\'s so doggone busy. Took him to the age of 61 to finally get married. Oh yea, he\'s lived a good single life. Guess he wants someone to grow old with! Don\'t we all!!
Hope you find that missing kitty!!! And I hope your next neighbor is an animal LOVER, like YOU! xoxoxo : )
i told the guy around the block that i think the orange cat is the priest\'s cat that he feeds. i really think it is actually. have no idea what goes on in that area. one of br\'s was missing today also.
yeah, don\'t miss the legal field. have relatives that are lawyers and i know a couple of them that are seemingly okay, but even they will tell you about a zillion horror stories. they don\'t even trust each other and even within the same firm, especially with the big firms (over 100 lawyers) they are all at each other, different factions within the same firm. yuck! one of the lawyers i worked for, the judge used to say he was great in the court room or if it pertained to a case and anything outside of that it was like talking to a demented man. that one was definitely on the criminal end himself. he represents alllll criminals, even pedophiles. that is disgusting and depraved. wth?! i think most defense lawyers are criminals that is why they choose defense work.
Mu sister and brother-in-law have a law practice, specializing in elder law (a lot of estate planning), they also give FREE seminars for seniors on understanding the differences between living wills and other options. I choose to think that they are some of the \"good guys\" in the field of law...Just saying.
i know, i have ones like that as well. but was surprised to discover from working in there, its lopsided on the side of the corrupt. a lot of anything \"legal\" is. very sad. they know it themselves and laugh about it, but its more sad than comical. xxoo
My granddad on my fathers side made and sold shine, during Prohibition. The town cops were always busting him, but granddads cases were always dismissed due to \"lack of evidence\". He simply kept those judges well supplied. As to what atticush63 said, i guess there\'s a few \"good\" apples in the bunch. I still believe that the court system is designed simply to make judges and lawyers rich with \"justice\" as there disguise.
another thing they do, is simply \"lose the file\" and of course \"lose the evidence\" just like you are saying. amazing how pitiful it is. perhaps closing it all down is the answer. or reform ONLY like they do in scandinavia. i still don\'t like there not being much use of a death penalty over there. killers should not be running free. neither should forgers or thieves or rapists.
