A Good Day Today
I helped our church find a nice piano. It is a Baby Grand Kawai. They delivered it this afternoon at the church. I then went and got something to eat then, traveled to a neighboring town and played a piano concert for a Nursing Home. I feel like I accomplished something good today. I am sure some will complain about the piano but, our other one was not good. We had it checked by a professional technician from Yamaha and he told us it was not worth fixing. It played ok but, had very little volume. The hammers were hardened from age and no use. The tuning studs were rusted and he said he was afraid to try and tune it due to possibly twisting the stud off. The Kawai cost a little more than we expected but, I felt it was worth the extra to get a good quality piano that would also suffice, should we add on to our sanctuary in a year or twp. Our capacity is about 100 and we have been averaging in the high eighties. Sunday, we had 96.
I strive to reach others for Christ here on DS and in my community. I know that there are those here who say they are atheists, agnostics, unbelievers, etc. and that is their privilege but, I share my life's story and my testimony with them as to how Jesus changed my life. Whether they believe me, the Bible or refuse both, I still share because I know where I have come from and what I have now, if there is no God, Heaven or Hell, my life is still better than it has ever been.
I do not judge anyone or look down on anyone. It is up to each of us individually whether we believe or don't believe. I don't cram religion down anyone's neck because religion can be anything I care enough about people to share what I believe is the truth. I guess, when much has been forgiven, much love takes its place. I have been forgiven of much. I have been set free from much and I am thankful.
