A Good Day
Well today is the big countdown to Christmas. I went to get my hair cut and colored. I love it. My trigeminal neuralgia is off and on..right now giving me a little break and (knock on wood) my viral infection seems to be better. Treated myself to a large iced tea from McDonald's. My Mom took me and I did ok at the hair salon. The lady that does my hair is really nice and knows of my anxiety problem, plus I've known her quite a few years.
It's still Fall here in northeast Texas. Trees are golden yellow and orange. Temperatures have been down to the low 20's with a high of around 48 for the day but so far mostly in the 50's. Squirrels are having a hay day with all the acorns and pecans in my yard. My little siamese cat has so much fun in the windows playing with them. They come up to the windows and tease her every day. It's quite comical to watch her racing around the room from window to window, being face to face with those little cuties.
I have some things bought for Christmas, but very few. My partner and I need to go shopping badly and will soon. We don't have many to buy for and like it to feel more Christmasy as far as weather goes. I have done a great deal of shopping online. Just waiting for those packages to arrive.
My neighbor and i share a huge tree between our houses. Part of it hangs over his house and part over mine. Today he had tree trimmers come and trim ALL the limbs on his side of the tree off. The tree is HUGE. He did it so we'd have to be the ones to cut the tree down when we cut our side of the branches. This is a new neighbor and the longer he lives there...the more I'm beginning to dislike him. The tree looks horrible. We don't have the money to cut it down. We got a price of $4,000.00. He said that was too much to split. No telling how much he spent on this hack job. My hair stylist said her son was a tree cutter. She's going to give me his name. Maybe we can work something out. In the meantime..pitiful looking tree. ..and if the wind blows too hard...sure hope the tree doesn't blow over...oh and it's over MY bedroom..lol..

I'm glad you are looking forward to Christmas-me too, I love the idea of Peace on Earth and Goodwill to All. (well nearly all-maybe your neighbour doesn't qualify) Trees on boundaries can be such a source of enmity. I hope you can sort it out. One consolation maybe trees that are pruned grow back thicker and more assertive than ever. Lol.
Great too your hair is a good result for you. We are so much in the hairdresser's hands. Good tradespeople are like diamonds! If a large iced tea is a treat you are doing something right!!

i'm sorry to hear about the tree situation, and that your neighbor isn't being fair. i hope all will be ok, and that the tree won't blow over, due to winds. it's very scary,when there's a huge tree nearby. keep us updated.

I had chocolate point Siamese cat named Lucy. She was my favorite cat I've ever had. She was my baby. They are so much fun. I would love to see your cat running around chasing squirrels. It's funny that they tease her. That's too bad about the tree in your yard. I hope you can get a deal on cutting it down. Our temps are in the single digits and below zero right now. We are supposed to get a big snowstorm Friday. Glad you are happy with your hair. It's nice to have a hair dresser that you have known for a long time.
