A good day
Just wanted to say hi to all of my friends. Steve is doing well except for his feet. He has decided to go back to his old schedule on Sutent. 4 weeks on 2 weeks off. He has found that the 3 weeks on 1 week off really doesn't give enough of feel good time. He is seriously considering trying Votrient. We have taken Sutent for so long I am a little appresensive about trying something else. That will be his decision and I will stand by what he wants to do.
Kind of a yucky day here in NC. Has been cloudy all day with a few showers. Not a bad day just a LONG day.

Wanda, we\'re here for you too. Feel good time is important for one\'s state of mind. Its been a gray raind day here too, uck I have had it with rain, at least I got the 1 1/2 acres cut yesterday. Have a good night. Jane

Dear Wanda, I don\'t know how long Steve has been on Sutent, but I know that if he does want to break away from it to try something else, the next option may have better results and less side effects...and, even if it isn\'t better, he can always go back to Sutent. These decisions are rough, but we have to believe that all will work out in the end... I understand how difficult it is to not judge our husband\'s decisions..(I\'ve had some tough moments myself). You honor Steve in the way that you respect his choices. You are both in my prayers.

Thank you for all for your input. Linda the doctor told him he could always go back to Sutent so I will just let him make the decision. I really respect the way you give me advise, most have traveled down the same road. My love to you all, Wanda

Just to remind you that Tom was on the Votrient as a participant in a Phase III trial prior to it gaining FDA approval. He had excellent results from it and the side effects were quite manageable through the first 6 cycles. Unfortunately, (since it WAS working) he had to go off as side effects became unmanageable. If Steve is a candidate for it, it could very well be a good choice for him too. Hope you are doing fine. Tommy is having ct scans as we speak. Pray they show nothing new. Please.
