A good day

Today is a good day. We stopped this morning to realize how blessed we are to be able to share this day and every day together. Steve went on disability in 2002 and I was miserable every day that I had to work when he was at home. I worried about him over every little thing, then in 2005 I retired from Sears after 27 years. I feel so happy to be able to stay at home with him. Now don't get me wrong, we can still get on each others nerves!!  I sometimes want a little me time but we live in the country and about 10 miles to the nearest town. We need to save on gas so we try to do all our errands at one time ( so he says) I'm kidding, we enjoy being together! It's kinda funny he never ever wanted to go to the grocery store with me before!!  he he   Hope everyone is having a good day and God bless all of you.    Love  Wanda

Hi Girl!
I can relate to this. When Ray first retired, it almost drove me batty. All of a sudden he wanted to go EVERYWHERE with me. LOL It\'s been 11 years, and I\'ve adjusted nicely now, and am grateful that he\'s at home.

Hugs!

Hi there Wanda

I can also relate to you - not so much in that D wants to go everywhere with me, but that I am NEVER in the house alone any more. And sometimes, just sometimes, I feel that I just want to have my own space for a little while. It makes me feel quite horrible, as I know perfectly well that if he were in the hospital I\'d miss him so dreadfully, but, just sometimes I\'d like him to have his music practice at someone else\'s house, or go and meet his friend at the pub, or their house, instead of always here....

But, as you say, how blessed we are to be able to spend this time together, and to be able to wake up each day next to each other, still. I don\'t enjoy being out of the house all day at work, and, at the moment, mostly I\'m not, and I know these days are precious, as I will have to go back to work full-time at some stage in the near future.
