a good day

I had a good day today, and I credit it to all the people who have allowed me to share what has happened to my son and our family.  Last week I was ready to go to bed and stay there.  Today, I did ok.  I worked at the school and even laughed with the kids.  The only difference between last week and now is the support groups I found. The people here listened when I felt I couldn't talk to anyone else.  I found The Compassionate Friends online support group.  Suddenly, the people I talked to knew what I was going through.  I wasn't the only one any more.    A special thank you for all your help and support.  I feel that I am beginning the road to recovery.. It will take time and there will still be bad days but there will be good days too.

I think that without being able to express our thoughts and emotions we become pressure cookers and, if not careful...we will explode. Being able to express, share, vent with moms that truly understand is healthy and definitely releases that pressure. I am so l glad your day was good...warms my heart. Love to you...Karen

That\'s why I sought this group....I HAD to have someone who truly understood my pain. I\'m so glad you found us and are receiving the support needed. I thank you for your courage to write and share. It\'s definitely at two way street, you are helped and we are helped. It\'s a long road, but we walk it together and we gain strength along the way. I\'m so glad you had a good day. Enjoy them as they come. Love and hugs, Teri.
