A Good Day

Things are slowly getting back to normal in this house. Wayne and I are back on our feet having won the battle against pneumonia. It was a long three weeks though. The kids were wonderful and in the middle of everything there was a huge blessing given to our familyand I wanted to share it with everyone. Those that know of my story know that after our daughter MayLyn Noel passed away in 2004 she left behing two beautiful little children ages 8 and 3 at the time. Now those babies are 12, almost thirteen and 7 almost 8. Hunter and Tina Marie. We opted to put Tina Marie in a private school this year hoping she would open up to the other girls her age and find some close friends there. She has struggled with making friends and we think it is because she has lost so much in her short life that she just isn't willing to put her heart on the line for just anyone to take. She is very cautious about who she talks to or hangs out with. Usually it is just the family for her. When she came to me a few months ago and expressed an intrest in the beauty review at her new school. Something I had never had any involvement with ever in my life and I was clueless as "how to" accomplish this for her.So I read a few articles, found a shop with ball gowns, looked through magazines for jewelry and make-up and hair styles. My Lord what a production this was turning out to be, but she wanted it and we wanted her to have a good experience, so we put her together the best we could and what happened in the end was the blessing. There was Tina Marie up on stage looking like a princess, and the judges called her name as a finalist! She took second place in the Deer Creek Beauty Review and her whole world lit up!For the first time since her Mother had passed I saw in Tina a light that was not there before. All the fittings, hard work, searching for the perfect everything was oh so much worth it!Tina Marie looks so much like her Momma that it took my breath away to see her on the stage holding her bouquet and smiling bright enough to light up our world. Thanks for letting nme share with you all.Love Jacqueline

Hi Jacqueline,
AHow can it be possible the kids have grown to the age of \"Beauty Pincess?\" What a wonderful, wonderful thing for her. I know how you have worried about her, and now she is just blooming!! I am so happy for all of you and know her Mommy would be so proud of her and so thankful to you and Wayne. Take care, my friend. Love, Dawn

Wonderful for both you & Tina Marie - I can\'t even begin to imagine everything she has been through - way too much lose for any child to endure. Such an uplifting story I love it!!!! Hugs, Ann

There is a rainbow in your neck of the woods for sure!
Take care of you...don\'t do too much, you do not want to have a relapse of the pneumonia...so glad that you are feeling better, though.
