A Friend's Deception
In 2005, on a July morning
James Aderman killed my son
His "so called friend" from what I've heard
But, no "friend" would do what he done
He left my son in a row of trees
Like a dead animal along a road
He either walked home or called for a ride
Who knows, from the lies he's told
He called the local authorities
His vehicle was "stolen" he said
But, Jamie knew where his vehicle was
And he knew my son was dead
He then called a bunch of people
Asking if they'd seen my son
Driving the "stolen" vehicle of his
To cover what he had done
Numerous times he placed these calls
Acting like he was concerned
But, all of these were nothing but lies
From the evidence and the truth we have learned
Blood was found on the airbags
That deployed when the crash occurred
More blood was found around the site
There was blood on my son's shirt
None of this blood belonged to my son
Someone else had to be there
Someone who left his "closest friend"
A "friend" who showed no care
The State began to investigate
They knew that something was wrong
When Jamie was questioned later that day
He sang a different song
He hired an "experienced lawyer"
That his wife had used, you see
When she hit another vehicle
And killed a mother of three
So now this couple have taken two lives
Six children were left behind
Both deaths so utterly senseless
Their scars so etched in our minds
I realize that accidents happen
And lives are sometimes taken
But to be left alone on a country road
Called a "thief", abandoned, forsaken!
There is no excuse for what James did
"Friends" don't do friends this way
The hurt, the sadness and loss we feel
Are worse than words can say
I used to be a "Biker"
It seems like ions now
When I knew how to hurt my enemies
But, I still remember how
So, as a dad, that has lost a son
The Judicial System is a sham
I've put my faith in The Righteous Judge
I'll let Him deal with this man
But, life goes on and as the years pass by
We're to mature and age with time
But James Aderman, I will never forget
You killed a son of mine.
This poem was written about the man who was driving the vehicle that killed my son.
PS. This man got 45 evenings in jail, a fine, and 4 years probation.

he didnt get enough. him and his wife shouldnt be allowed to live their lives like normal people. what is going to stop them from doing it again
this is an amazing poem, it brought me to tears....angeleyee92--i agree that he didn\'t get enough...but this is where faith comes in...and remembering that God is the true judge...
Oldbiker, I am so sorry that James treated your son like that and that he didn\'t get the punishment he deserved. However, as you have already stated, he will be punished someday, and it will be so much more than we here on this earth could ever do to him...
My life long childhood friend was killed by a drunk driver when we were 21 years old. She was 3 mo. pregnant.
The driver ran over her car while she was stopped at a 4 way stop sign on a 2 lane road. She was headed from one job to the next at 4:30 pm on Friday afternoon. He never stopped, even after his truck hit her... I was told that he got out of the truck, staggering and confused, trying to figure out why he stopped. It never registered that he had hit someone, let alone killed them. He too got a VERY light sentence.
Thank you for that powerful poem. I know it was hard to write but it tells the story of betrayal and pain in a personal way. It is unfortunate that justice is overlooked here on earth but our Lord will take care of this in His time. My heart goes out to you. This guy who killed your son has certainly not paid a very high price so far but his day is coming. Your Sister in Christ, Dale...Brandon\'s Mom
Thank you for sharing this outpouring of love and pain... Im sorry you have suffered so my friend.. May God take your burden... xx
The story of this man\'s wife killing a mother of three is as follows. She and James had been to a party. He left her at the party and went to a tavern uptown. When he came back to the party, his wife had been taken home by her boss ( a woman) because she had gotten sick at the party. When James arrived home, he fund his wife in the shower because she had evidently vomited on herself. He grabbed and beat her in the shower. She ran out of the house nude, jumped in the car and was fleeing to her grandmother\'s house to get away from James. She was still drunk and she hit another car, head on and killed the lady driver, who was a mother of three children. He was indirectly responsible for this tragedy as well. Unfortunately, what he learned from his wife\'s accident with the law, helped him pull the gymnastics he pulled when he killed my son. Like Paul Harvey says \" and that\'s the rest of the story\"!!!!!!!!
I am still waiting for justice for my daughter. I am lucky I guess that she was found outside our home with our blood all over her and could not say she didn\'t do it. Our problem is that she wants to claim she was insane and not just on crystal meth. The first psychiatric hearing was hung. 11-1 in favor of calling her insane. The DA wanted to let it stand, but my family fought. She is not \"innocent by reason of insanity\" and should not be allowed to go to a psychiatric hospital and released without warning when the powers that be determine she is no longer a threat to society. The justice system on this earth will never hold a candle to the justice they will face after they leave here. That is what keeps me going. I hope you are letting go and living your life for the future. hugs j
I am so very sorry for your loss and for how the judicial system failed in serving justice upon your son\'s killer. Some things just never make sense.
