A Free Day

Friday, August 22, 2008 – 10:10 A.M. This is going to be one of my free days, which is a rarity for me. I do not have any appointments scheduled, so I am going to follow my doctor’s order to try and do something for fun. My sister and I are going to have lunch together, at a new mall, go to Borders Books (where she can spend hours and hours), and then go to the pet store where she has been looking for an elusive dog, which will steal her heart away.   I keep replaying (in my mind) the last therapy session I had with my therapist. The worries I felt seemed monumental, and I was awestruck by how quickly and easily my therapist came up with solutions for everything. I believe that my mind was just so overwhelmed with my depression that I was unable to see the whole picture clearly.   We managed to briefly touch on the sexual abuse. Next week may be the right time for me to start opening up about that. Being abused by both men and women has me confused about my sexual identity. I almost feel repulsed by men and women, yet, at them same time, I am strongly attracted to each.
