a few things...
Silver got his stitches out Thursday. He's so glad to have it done and over with, he was so happy to get home and play in the back yard again. He also had a urine test done and they said that his ph is too acidic so they gave me a supplememnt for him to take with his food. it's this powdery stuff i have to mix in wet food and the dosage is huge! there's like more supplement than food! i put water in it and mix it up till it's a bit muddy like. so instead of giving him small portions of food like before severeal times a day i end up giving him bigger serving sizes and only 2x a day. poor guy. when he eats it he makes this weird face with his ears all turn back like he's saying "dis gotta weird flavor. what they put in it?" but he eats it and i think he knows that he has to. i've been feeding these 2 stray cats... one is a kitten, the other a young adult. the kitten i originally thought was a male and started calling him "Peanut" it didn't respond to it at all. then a few days later i found out it's a female. so i started calling her "Cinnamon". she has blue green eyes and her fur is brown, tan, with some hints of black dots and small stripes. she responded to the new name and now perks her ears up toward me when i call her. She'll come running over to me and start meowing. so i take it she likes her name. she's much freindlier than the young adult cat who i call "white paws". White Paws is a very timmid cat and runs when you move in it's direction. Cinnamon and White Paws hang out together where ever they go. but some times Cinnamon comes over to my front door alone, and she will sleep on the welcome matt. she's so small and cute. one of these days i will become good enough friends with her i can take her in and bathe her, get her to the vet and get her her shots and stuff. but in do time. my cold is gone but i still cough a bit here and there. yesterday, i took Ricky to the VA to help him get some serious matters resolved. he has had some major anxiety about his parole issues that have come up. and none of it his fault but some people at the head of the program he is in, were jerking him around. well we got most of the problems fixed now. wewh! i too had to get an issue taken care of. my rep for my VA case that i'm appealing again, took off. i mean he cleaned out his office and left! so my case was left hanging in limbo. i went to the State Office of Veterans Affairs and told them what happened and they found me another rep, thank God. my cardiology referral went thru. still waiting to see Rheumatology again. and got a Neurology appt coming up. also waiting for the Pain Clinic referral to go thru so i can finally get a new physical therapist. all this i've been trying to get done since Nov! i'm losing patience. well that's all for now... thanks everyone and i hope you have an awesome weekend!!

All that waiting for action drives me nuts!!! You\'re doing really well to hang in there and keep your patience. Glad things are moving at last. Glad that Silver is doing well. You\'re a sucker for punishment aren\'t you, lol, another little kitten for you to look after soon by the sounds of it.
Glad your kitty is doing well and the stitches are out!! Now he can play and frolic like his old self :o) Hope you get a chance to make it to the beach today. I wish I could join you!! Take care of yourself and have a good day :o)
You are so funny with the \"dis gotta weird flavor, what they put in it?\" I cracked up when I read it. I\'m glad I\'m not the only one who talks for their pets! Sounds like Silver\'s doing great and I\'m glad to hear it. And now he may get 2 new companions if you can fully gain the trust of White Paws and Cinnamon (great names).
Glad you and Ricky got things straightened out at the VA. I\'ll do some hocus pocus so you can get to a physical therapist quickly, I know that would be such a relief to you to finally be able to have that. Being in pain and suffering sux, no way around it. You\'ve been incredibly tough and brave in the face of it...you rock.
