A Day Off- Yippee
Yay- I woke up at 6.30 and jumped out of ed-feeling fine. Ivan is worried that I'm manic, but I'm not...just feeling good.
Today is an extra day off Im taking...got a few little jobs to do, like get me a haircut and buy some MP3 earpieces.
I just feel so good and long may it last. I wonder what strategy they'd employ if I go down again-would they up my prozac for instance? I have been up for about 8 weeks now, not counting my downs in the morning-and even they are becoming bearable. Phew-thank God for Prozac, I say.
I haven't got a whole lot to write today. Did I mention hearing from my two brothers, Simon and Nick? We are not a close family but we spark well when we do connect. I missed Nick in Auckland on Tuesday(-bother-living out here at Titirangi makes it difficult to spontaneously do things. I can always take an earlier train or bus though. Ivan is so good and kind dropping me off.)
Nick has a foodstuffs business selling mustards and relishes and dukkah. He is very busy and when not working can be found playing golf or drinking wine and watching the world go by. Simon has a radio programme "At the Movies". I think my mental illness has tried their patience in the past, but maybe this diagnosis has helped them see that its not exactly my fault when my behaviour gets a bit much.
If indeed I am bipolar? Ive had this argument with myself before and one manic episode makes you bipolar-and I did buy that car neither Bryan nor I could drive...that's pretty batty I have to say...I wish i could remember the events of the last nearly 6 years. I find it difficult to reacll exactly what went down with Bryan and me for example.
He claims living with me gave him Post Traumatic Stress Disorder but wont acknowledge that he gave me depression! (If indeed it was him-well I think it was a combination of Bryan, selling my house, working at Telecom, no friends, blah blah blah...no money...)
I weighed in at 69.4 kgs today-a kilo up on yesterday, which I find very hard to believe. Perhaps I do need to get some new scales?
Havent got much spare money to lash out $50.
Not sure what I'll do today but I will certainly enjoy it and for that i am truly grateful!
Wish this book would arrive "The Artist's Way".
Koon's poetry is a woderful thing and I'm hoping reading and rereading his poetry will unplug my creative juices. There is so much out there to read and learn about...Im happy to think about all these new things I can explore.
(And always be living each day as if it were my last.)
