A day in the life
I got up this morning and let the dog out. Brrr! We had a frost last nite. Soon it will be time to crawl under my trailer and plug in the heat tape, reinsulate my water tank and pipes. This is a ritual I go through every year in november or early december, depending on the weather. I also cover up the two airconditioners at about this time.
I hate having to go through it all but I should be thankful, I have a warm home and a full tank of oil to keep me warm.
I share the daily newspaper with my ex's sister who lives a few houses down the road. As I walked over to get it this morning, I noticed the colorful leaves falling off the trees. Like they were painted with a hundred different shades of yellow, red, and brown! So beautiful! It is sunny today and the cold, crisp air felt good going into my lungs.
I came home and read the sports page. Patriots will be playing at 4 pm. Don't want to miss it.
I had a couple of sales last nite so I will work on those before the game. Ex and bf went to a local auction; and I was told, she would make us all a delicious dinner when she got home!
Dog is snuggled under the covers so I won't be able to make the bed until she gets up for the day.
Here I am writing this, letting others know how my life is!

Nice entry Bob... this will be the last time you be connecting the heat tape, right? its not your house anymore... Its HER responsibility. :)
I know and thanks Nancy, but someone has to do it. I want to be able to see water come out of the fawcet when I shave or shower. Nobody else knows how to do it or where to even begin, nor do they even inquire. They say they are going to florida for a month but I\'ll believe it when I see it.
Great post. I can imagine how gorgeous Maine is this time of year. Hope your life is peaceful and happy. Keep your head up - so you can see if someone special is checking you out! You have a lot to look forward to as your future unfolds.

Yup, I agree with Viv. Definitely research the market value of a Handy Man labor rate. There will come a time that you will not be living there and she will expect you to fix what iis broken because she didn\'t take care of it herself.
