A Course in Miracles 197 - Turning the Ego Out of the Way
For the past thirty years, I have worked with students individually and in groups to help them fine-tune their ability to hear the Voice of God/Holy Spirit/Jesus speaking to them. The number one request from students is to find a way to turn the ego out of the way so that the Spirit can guide their life.
1. The illusion of need
A Course in Miracles is a spiritual teaching that is often referred to as the “new bible of the occult.” It has been endorsed by several mainline Christian churches. It is also a popular subject for discussion in many New Age spiritual circles.
Regardless of how the Course is taught, it can be a very effective tool for helping people shift out of victim mentality and into psychological and spiritual freedom and awakening. This is because it teaches how to identify and eliminate the big mistakes that are sabotaging our personal transformation and evolution.
The first of these big mistakes is the illusion of need. This belief that we have a need for something, whether it be money, success, or happiness, is the source of so much pain and suffering in our lives.
But what the Course teaches us is that this illusion is not a real need at all, but simply an apparent need. We can overcome this illusion by changing our perception of the way we feel about ourselves and others.
The Course also teaches that this illusion of need is the cause of all of our sabotaging beliefs. These beliefs are what impede our spiritual and psychological growth. They include fears, desires, and blind spots.

All this for only a fraction of the price you'd pay elsewhere.
3. The illusion of separation
The illusion of separation is one of the most powerful and widespread illusions that we are tempted to believe in. It causes pain, anxiety, anger, fear, sadness, loneliness, desolation, dis-ease and so much more.
Whether it comes from science or religion, it creates the false belief that we are separate from our true nature and that this is a necessary part of our human experience. As a result, we are often left feeling dis-empowered and afraid of everything and anything that is different from us.
We need to break through this illusion and reclaim our original oneness with God. This is a process that takes time, dedication and commitment on our part. Sometimes it can happen with a powerful experience in a moment, like Eckhart did, but for many, it takes years of practice and meditation to realize this.
A Course in Miracles is a mind training system that has helped thousands of people to become free from the illusion of separation and discover their oneness with God. The daily Workbook lessons provide a systematic, step-by-step approach to applying these principles in practical and meaningful ways.
4. The illusion of disease
The latest statistics gleaned from the World Health Organization reveal that more than half of the world’s population is currently suffering from some form of chronic disease. These include conditions ranging from arthritis to fibromyalgia to food allergies and lupus. The cost of these maladies is staggering - a recent survey found that the average cost of a medical visit in the US was over $4000 per year. The best way to address this issue is not with drugs but by learning how to harness the power of the mind. A Course in Miracles teaches that the best way to do this is through mindfulness. It is a well proven fact that our minds are far more powerful than our bodies, and by learning to channel the wisdom of our inner selves, we can make real changes in our lives. This may sound like a lofty goal, but it is actually easier than most people realize. We can accomplish this by reducing stress, cultivating gratitude and self-love, and practicing forgiveness. The most important thing is to remember that each of these are inseparable and are the cornerstone of a healthy mind and body. un curso de milagros videos
5. The illusion of power
The illusion of power is a real thing. It's a tricky concept to master, and is exacerbated by external factors such as time, money and resources. As such, it's a common cause of anxiety and depression, which is why it's such an important topic of discussion in any self-help group.
The best way to achieve it is to understand that your power and control are a fluid concept, subject to change at any given moment. This makes the power of positive thinking one of the most powerful tools in your arsenal.
Thankfully, there are several ways to boost your power of positive thinking game. This includes reading up on new scientific discoveries, taking part in mind boosting activities such as meditation or yoga, and cultivating a mindset that prioritizes the needs of others over your own.
This has a number of benefits including improving your life span and increasing your happiness score. In addition, it will inevitably improve your relationships with family, friends and colleagues. It also allows you to see the bigger picture in a world where you're constantly battling debilitating stress and negative thoughts. It can also help you to overcome a myriad of psychological challenges, from chronic illness to addiction.
6. The illusion of fear
Fear can be a powerful force, exacerbated by the mind. It’s not a healthy way to live, so it’s important to recognize it and address it.
One of the most effective ways to deal with fear is to acknowledge it, but then move forward anyway. When you do this, you don’t let your fears control you or hold you back from living your life fully.
This is the key to overcoming your fear. The next time you feel a little bit of fear, remember that it’s there to teach you a lesson.
You’ll learn that it’s an illusion, and that you can easily destroy it by simply focusing on your true nature. If you can accept this, your fear will fade away and be replaced by love.
A Course in Miracles, or ACIM as it is known in the spiritual world, is a teaching system that uses psychological exercises to help students achieve spiritual transformation. It consists of a Text, Workbook for Students, and Manual for Teachers. Two supplements, Psychotherapy and The Song of Prayer, are also included in the series.
7. The illusion of death
A Course in Miracles (ACIM) is an intellectually sophisticated, spiritually inspired mind training system. It has influenced both the Christian church and secular culture and is considered a modern spiritual classic.
The Course teaches that the illusions we experience are misperceptions of reality. It is an ecumenical teaching and reflects the core of wisdom found in most major world religions.
But the Course also focuses on the power of our individual minds. This power is cultivated through daily spiritual practice. The daily Workbook lessons offer carefully thought-out exercises that challenge us to question every value we hold in order to change our thinking.
These lessons are designed to move us out of the body's ego and into the world of God's knowledge. The world of knowledge is one of love, unity and abundance; the world of illusion is one of evil, sin and guilt.
The Course explains that our individual minds are divided into right-mindedness and wrong-mindedness, which listen to different voices. Right-mindedness listens to the Holy Spirit and forgives others, and through Christ's vision sees the real world in its place. Wrong-mindedness listens to the ego and makes illusions; it perceives sin and anger, guilt and disease.
