Andjelic, M. Todorovic, D. Antic, J. Bila, S. Jankovic, L. Jakovic, M. Smiljanic, A. Sretenovic, B. Mihaljevic. Clinic for Hematology, Clinical Center of Serbia, Belgrade, Serbia and Montenegro Introduction:Hodgkin's lymphoma (HL) is one of the most frequent malignancies during the pregnancy. The presentation and course of HL in pregnancy is not considered to be different than in non pregnant women of the same age. The data regarding the management of HL in pregnancy are very limited, based mainly on case reports and single centre experiences. Methods:This study included 8 patients with advanced HL diagnosed in pregnancy in the period 2001-2011. The advanced HL was defined as Ann Arbor clinical stage (CS) IIB with large mediastinal tumor and/or extranodal disease, CS III and CS IV. The patients were considered to have advanced HL if it was proven by chest X-ray, abdominal ultrasound and physical examination on diagnosis. After the termination of pregnancy or delivery, the patients were treated with 6-8 cycles of ABVD followed by radiotherapy on initial bulky tumor or rest tumor after the therapy. Results: http://www.selleckchem.com/products/BI-2536.html One patient was diagnosed in first,3 in second and 4 in third trimester of pregnancy. All the patients were having large mediastinal tumor, four had CS II, four had CS III. Two patients terminated pregnancy after the diagnosis was established, one in first and one in second trimester. Both of them are disease free for more than 5 years after the treatment. Six patients were closely monitored for 1 to 13 weeks, until the delivery. Only one patient required treatment during pregnancy due to progressive symptomatic disease, and she underwent debulking radiotherapy at the end of second trimester with no consequences on baby.
