A Country Trip to my Moom's Farm...

Today was a day of remembrances… I took the half hour drive to my Moom’s  farm to visit with my former husband, father-in-law, former’s partner, and an uncle.  Lots of memories came to the surface that were all very pleasant as we really did all spend some wonderful times together in those 12 odd years…   I arrived bearing gifts--four dozen eggz, of course, a freshly baked zucchini bread, and lots of love!  I left with a smile on my face and a truck full of chickie supplies:  Waterers, feeders, oyster shells, et al.  AND, I left with bars for the bathroom so Ms. Stumblebutt can stay on her feet a little bit better…   It was a very good visit, and I told my former father-in-law not to be a stranger!  I will be calling him more often as I’m sure he will need the friendship, and I really do love the guy…  I am posting here a link to Moom’s obituary which she wrote herself.  It was published in both the Cleveland Plain Dealer and Akron Beacon Journal.  Her on-line guest book was 15 pages long last I checked with many comments by total strangers…  I encourage you to click the link and read about this marvelous womyn who touched my life as well as the lives of many others, even total strangers, with her wonderful account of her crazy life!   Nancy Lee Hixson is the name for whom you seek…  You will not be disappointed…   http://www.legacy.com/ohio/Obituaries.asp?Page=SearchResults   The sun goes down on this very special day, and I can count my many blessings though it takes more fingers and toes that my body gives me…  Blessed be…
