Happy sunshine monday! :) Gardening! :) Nature Walks! :) Spirit soaring sunshine! :) my family and i are enjoying a nice day, and enjoyed the peaceful weekend. :) The week is beginning with some wonderful sunshine. :) SUMMER COUNTDOWN!!! :) the summer season officially arrives on friday. :) We're gearing up, for Kayla's elementary school graduation on wednesday. :) Kayla and Taylynn's last day of school is on friday. :) they're very excited about summer vacation! :) they have field day at school this week. :) Lots of fun times. :) i did some sunflower gardening today. :) planting sunflower seeds, tomato plants, tending the plants, and enjoying sunshine nature walks around our yard, and gardens. :) i took lots of nice new pictures to share with everyone. :) the plants continue to be in all of their sunny sunshine glory. :) The gardens are coming along well. :) i'm having a really nice writing week too! :) i've been writing letters, and cards. :) yesterday evening, my dad and i enjoyed a nice nature walk in our yard, and it was such a nice evening and night. :) i bought a lottery ticket, and won $30! :) wow! :) it was such a cool surprise! :) i'm very happy and excited! :) i'm gonna be treating myself to a new tv show dvd set tomorrow, i'm buying season 2 of the "The Sopranos" :) i'm re-buying the seasons, as i watched my collection so much, the discs wore down, so i'm so happy to be putting together the series again. :) it was very exciting winning $30 on the lottery ticket. :) There's lots of great things going on. :) i'm continuing to do great, with my healthy eating. :) we got some buy 1 get 1 free coupons from mcdonalds. :) for sweet treats tuesday tomorrow, i'm getting 2 kinds of fruit smoothies. :) double sweet treats! :) It's a beautifully sunny day. :)
SUMMER COUNTDOWN!!! :) Festivities, Traditions, Celebrations, and lots and lots of glowing nature! :) my family and i hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying a great start to the week. :) i got my gardening gloves on today, and did some sunflower gardening. :) our plants are soaking up some wonderful sunshine. :) it's amazing, how we're only days away, from summer season arriving on friday. :) We're gonna be celebrating the arrival of the season in style, with a fun summer-graduations themed baking friday adventure this week, for Kayla and Taylynn. :) They're so excited, this is their final week of school and then they have the whole summer off, to play, have lots of fun adventures, and to enjoy the summer vacation, with family and friends. :) they've worked very hard this school year, and are so excited, to begin their summer vacation soon. :)
my family and i love to celebrate joyful times with you and your family's :) This wednesday, is Kayla's elementary school graduation. :) it's gonna be a great ceremony. :) We'll be going during the evening, and celebrating the special occasion. :) i'll take pictures, and make a video, of the ceremony to share with everyone. :) We had a really peaceful weekend. :) during the sunday evening, my family and i got burger king for dinner, i had a chicken sandwich, salad, and had an iced tea too, and my dad and i enjoyed a nice nature walk in our yard, during sunset hour. :) We spotted a cute hummingbird visiting our yard. :) The hummingbird was so happy, as it was enjoying the nectar food. :) We want to make more nectar food, very soon. :) my dad and i are so proud of the gardening we did yesterday. :) We really rocked it in the gardens, and our garden shopping adventure. :) We now have 2 and a half rows of sweet corn plants growing, plus we transplanted our new cucumber plants into our gardens. :)
We're working on the garden, that's been a bit challenging this season, with bugs/insects. we did some studying online, about some simple home remedies, and solutions, to help protect our plants. one of the bugs we believe that is chewing/eating the leaves of the cucumbers/string beans/sunflowers, is "aphids" insects. i read online, about some natural solutions. there's ginger powder/water, and also mixing vegetable oil, dishwashing liquid soap, and water together, and spraying the plants. We're trying the solutions, and hoping that it will help keep our plants protected, we're also using lemon juice/water too. :) it's only the one garden, next to our driveway, that is experiencing the issue with the bugs/insects, all of our other plants/gardening areas are fine. We're hopeful to have all situated, and settled soon. :)
It was a really cool evening yesterday, i just have to take this time, to share with everyone! :) on saturday, i bought a $3 lottery ticket, called "diamonds and dollars", and i won $3, and thought. "hey, cool, i can get another one" :) yesterday evening, i got another diamonds and dollars lottery ticket, and won $30! :) wow! :) i was so pumped up and excited! :) i was showing everyone the ticket, and also telling friends on the phone about it, and here on ds. :) it was so exciting to win the $30. :) i'm gonna cash in the ticket soon. :) i love to get a lottery ticket from time to time. :) i cashed out on swagbucks, for a $15 amazon.com gift card, and tomorrow i'm going to be treating myself, to a new tv show dvd set, i'm gonna buy the 2nd season of The Sopranos :) it's one of my favorite shows. :) i use too have the whole series on dvd, but i watched the dvds so much, and after a while, the discs get warped/worn down, and begin to skip. i'm putting the collection back together, beginning with the early seasons. :) i got season 1 for my birthday, and now gonna get season 2. :) i'm very happy and excited. :) it's gonna be a SUPER sweet treats tuesday. :) we got some iced teas from mcdonalds yesterday afternoon, my dad treated us. :) it's so nice of him. :) on the cups, they have a coupon peel-off, for buy 1 get 1 free, on certain drinks at mcdonalds, one of the drinks, is fruit smoothies! :) SWEET!!! :) i'm gonna get 2 fruit smoothies tomorrow. :) pineapple mango, and blueberry pomegranette fruit smoothie. :) it's gonna be so nice. :)
SUNSHINE GARDENING! :) With the gorgeous beautiful weather today, i love to blossom into the gardens, for nature walks, and gardening. :) my dad picked up some more sunflower seeds. :) today i used some of our new top soil, i refilled some of the small planters, and planted sunflower seeds in them, we're hoping they sprout quickly, and we can then transplant them into the gardens. :) it's been easier this season, and last season, to begin the plants from seed, in the planters, and then transplanting the plants. :) when we've been planting just the seeds in the ground, the squirrels get the seeds, or the insects/bugs chew/eat the sprouts when they first sprout. We're hoping to transplant the new sunflowers into the gardens. :) We do have about 30 to 40 sunflowers growing so far. :) these are some of the biggest gardening times of the season, as we begin to get the plants settled into the garden, tending the plants, it's a very rewarding feeling. :)
We've been doing some really deep gardening this season. :) learning so much, about gardening, and about protecting the plants. :) it's really amazing feeling, to see the plants flourishing, and at the end of the day, sunset nature walks to check in on the plants. :) it always warms my heart, and makes me smile, to see the plants doing well, and soaking up sunshine. :) our front yard garden, the bird feeders/gardening area, is loaded with lots of nasturiums, cosmos, marigolds, tiger lillies, morning glorys, and sunflowers. :) i may transplant a few more sunflowers into this garden soon. :) i want to do some weeding in this garden, as we had lots of rain last week, and lots of weeds growing. i love getting on the garden gloves, and going into gardening action. :) i transplanted some of our tomato sprouts, into larger planters, and put the planters next to our garden that has tomatoes, pumpkin plants, and 2 sunflowers. :) There's lots of nice sunshine there. :)
The season is coming along really well. :) my dad is super proud of our fruit trees. :) he was talking about the fruit trees yesterday evening, and i could tell how proud he is, of seeing all of the apples, pears, and peaches growing. :) We're gonna have a CHERRY TREE!!! :) my brother Charlie, and his girlfriend Barbara, bought my dad a cherry tree for father's day. :) We've already selected a cool spot to plant the tree, it's gonna be great to help my dad transplant the tree. :) it'll be over by our granny smith apple tree. :) It's neat, to see the grapes, and raspberries growing. :) i think in early July, we'll be picking raspberries, and would love to bake a nice homemade raspberry pie, yum! :) i always look forward to having a slice of baked raspberry pie, with a scoop of ice cream, and cool whip topping. :) We're enjoying the season so very much, and want to thank you all for all of your beautiful comments on our plants, gardens, and for sharing your gardens and plants with us. :) this is awesome fun, and we're still in early season, and have so much to look forward too. :) Happy nature, and gardening smiles :)
We're enjoying a great day :) my family and i are doing well, and are in good spirits. :) it was nice gardening today. :) i watered some of our plants, as they've been soaking up tons of nice sunshine. :) it's great to see the blue sky, and sunny weather. :) Today for lunch, i enjoyed a baked potato, a baked sweet potato, a baked salsa tortilla wrap, and also had some watermelon. :) lunch was delicious! :) i've been taking it easy this afternoon, resting, after gardening earlier. :) i've been enjoying some time here on DS, writing to friends :) i've also been enjoying some nice water, and powerade. :) my allergies got severe last night, but i'm ok, and going to buy some more allegra allergy medicine soon. :) my allergies tend to flare up about once a week, this time of the year. i'm definitely in great spirits, and excited about ordering my new dvd set tomorrow. :) tomorrow's sweet treats tuesday :) We're gonna go to mcdonalds to get some treats. :) i'm also going to complete a new letter i'm writing, and gonna write some cards. :) my family and i thank you all so very much, for all that you do for us. :) We deeply appreciate everything, with all of our hearts. :) BIG GROUP HUG :) You all are very nice, and sweet. :) tonight, i'm gonna enjoy some watermelon for snack, and gonna do some writing. :) There's lots more great things to look forward too. :)

i transplanted 3 of our tomato plants/sprouts, into larger planters today. :) The plants are really doing well, and soaking up the sunshine. :) i put the 3 planters next to our raspberry truellis, where there's lots of sunshine almost all day on sunny days :)
Pumpkin plants :) We have some nice pumpkin plants really growing wild. :) they are in the garden next to our raspberry truellis. :) The plants are flourishing. :) this is where we had pumpkin grow last year. :)
Pears :) our pears are flourishing, along with our apple trees, and peach tree. :)
Apples :)i planted some more mammoth sunflower seeds today in planters. :) once the sunflowers sprout, and begin to grow, i'll transplant them into open space areas of the gardens :)
Tiger Lilly blossoms :) these tiger lilly stems/blossoms, are growing in my mom's peace flower garden :) They're ready to blossom with the summer season :)
