A conversation with a friend
While talking with one of my best girlfriends I was pouring my heart out about Bryan and she said, "he was really good to you wasn't he?". I dropped the list, which I'm now going to share because it will give an idea of just how incredible of a man he was. He would cook for me every night. I never had to. He would paint my toes for me and massage my feet. He always bought my flowers and brought them to my work or surprised me when I got home. He would buy me cards all the time just because. He did everything to make sure the kids and I were taken care of before even considering doing anything for himself. And he always apologized when he knew he was wrong. Even if I started the argument. I told my friend that I would never find another man as good as he was and her response was perfect. She said that Bryan showed me what a great man is and now I'll never settle for anything less. Now that I'm thinking about it I can't expect every man to be like him and if I ever look for that I won't ever find it again. There may be some of those qualities present but there's no one like him and probably won't ever be. This is the part where change gets scary because I don't like it. I can't stand it. I have been through a lot of relationships, not all bad, but no one will ever mean as much to me, and care about me, as Bryan did and that scares me.
