A Cake For Cara

I am not going to bake this cake for Cara for her birthday.  The grandchildren are not available to come to help me and this cake is something I want us to do together for Cara.  I am simply indulging myself in thoughts of how much I will enjoy it when we can get together... I'm hoping maybe for Christmas.  I've already talked to my daughter in law Liz... we may need to invade her kitchen... getting everyone together there would be easier than trying to do it here... The directions are just for a cake but I want us to do it with a layer of ice cream...  Just the one small cake to encourage us all to eat only a small piece... I am trying hard to work on moderation... and to teach it to my grandchildren.  Weight is and has been a very real problem for me...

Hope the day is gentle to you.  Hugs Elissa

What a cool cake! For awhile, Lisa baked and decorated cakes as a business. People would call and tell her what they wanted, and she would create it!
The butterfly brings tear to my eyes. Some day, when my granddaughter has gotten over being a teenager, we can do one together too.
Love and hugs, Marlene
