A Book Called "I Wasn't Ready To Say Goodbye"

I wanted to share this with all of you as I felt it says it all:
Do We Ever Get Over Grief:
Grief:
You don't get over it
you just get through it
you don't get by it
because you can't get around it
it doesn't "get better"
it just gets different
every day....
grief puts on a new face

I feel that is what grief is about.

I hope you get something out of that like I did

I was lucky enough to have friends who understood this about grief...they told me you don\'t get over it, just through it and you can\'t get around it because it will come back to haunt you if you don\'t deal with it...no doubt, we are changed by it. Thanks for sharing. Anne

Oh Sandie, Thank you so much for posting that, it\'s definitely a keeper. I\'m having a down day, just hate it when that happens! Your kind words sure did help me to recognize some things. Oh my goodness, our lives will never be the same again. I miss my Richie Rich so much!
Take care friend,

That is very reassuring ~ to remind us that we\'re not crazy, we\'re bereaved Moms. It reminds me of an old camp story/activity I used to play with my kids ~ \"Let\'s go on a bear hunt\". You keep running into obstacles and at each obstacle you say \"can\'t go around it; can\'t go over it; can\'t go under it ~ gotta go through it\". There are lots of hilarious hand motions that go with the game.

Who knew that one day that silly game would sum up my life??

Love and hugs ~ Debbie

Yes, there is much truth there. It seems that the longing to touch, to hug, or just to gaze upon my child is never ending. To accept that such a precious being is now gone from my life doesn\'t seem possible. The last line is so true, \"It just puts on a different face\"......
