A Bit Of This & That

Hey all my friends.
First off an awe moment for everyone.  We had a pair of kittens at the shelter, siblings, one was black & the other was tan.  They've been there only a few wks but everytime I worked the first thing I'd have to do is take some cuddle time with each one in turn.  One whose name was Twig had a major stroke against him, he was all black & black cats usually have an almost horrible chance at adoption.  Twig almost looked like a little almost newborn bunny or if anyone is familiar with african pigmy hedgehogs & he had the roundest almost bug eyes that kind of sparkled in a way.  When you took him out of his kennel he'd flatten himself against your chest or you good lay him on his back in your hand & take your fingers fr the other hand & wiggle them in the air over him & all four of his tiny little legs would kind of wiggle & kick.  When you'd approach his kennel, he'd climb the bars to try & get at you.  His sibling was bigger then him & somewhat more refined.  I guess he felt he was above showing off like that.  Well I so had my heart set on time with Twig today & much to my delight they both had been adopted & Twig being black yet.  But someone pointed out that Twig had a way of melting a heart the moment someone laid eyes on him.
I thought that was a good way to start a journal today.
Life has been way too busy.  November has been crazy with appointments somehow & I'm starting to have days where I can tell my body is saying I've got to get things under better control.  We have three things up tomorrow & then we're reshaping our lives( as best as possible)  in order to better balance things.
Our one somewhat scary thing coming up is on Fri Dec 6th hubby has his appt with the Respirologist.  It's a regular check up the possibility of him being put on oxygen is definitely in the air.  It's not that we're shaking scared or anything but it's still the possibility of facing that new possible aspect of life.  I do so pray that thru the pulmonary rehab course we recently took that it will enable us to go forward at least being really educated.  We both know that if thats where the Lord wants us at this point in life then that's where we go.  Alot of people get scared right away abt possibly being house bound but we still plan to go & do alot of what we do now just realizing it will be in a different way.  I'm trying not to dwell on it though.
As for myself, well, things go on.  I think at least my weight has stabilized, no more drastic weight loss happening so I'm focusing on that meaning I'm overall stabilizing & can soon turn a corner for the better.  I've been having trouble with my hands & the cold, my fingers are sometimes turning so white so I've been trying to stay conscious of that, wearing heavy sheepskin and/or fleece lined mittens when I'm going out, not classy but hey what can I say.
Got my Christmas present fr hubby.  There's really nothing we need & he felt lost & it came up one day how much I LOVE SPA APPTS!!!!! So, on Thurs Dec 12th for 3 hours I get a deep clean facial treatment, a sea salt scrub body treatment, aromatherapy session & a relaxation massage.  Can we say PURRRFECT or what.  It truly is the most amazing thing he could ever think to do for me.
Anywho I'll sign off for now - gotta back to some laundry.
My love goes out to all my dear friends who take time fr life to check this out.

I love the way you described those 2 kittens, I could almost see them and yes I had that awe moment.I thought you were really going to tell us your taking one home! LOL Well maybe you will..Time will tell.
Please don\'t worry about mel being on oxygen.. I have been on it for almost 11 years. My first 3 years were allot easier then it is now. He will have a portable tank when he goes outside so that is the only thing different. He doesn\'t mind going out with it in he will be all right.
Now about you, Have you lost weight? How much? What should you weigh? Other then the cold fingers and weight loss are you feeling any thing else/ I like to know so I know how to pray for you. I miss you and out conversations and or trips out for hot chocolate and donuts.. We need to get together soon. WelL I am getting off for tonight. You know I love you, Frieda xoxoxo ((((HUGSSSSS)))))))))

That\'s a great present! I\'m so happy to hear you are getting lots of pampering soon. : ) Glad your weight has stabilized and you do sound to be in better spirits too. So happy for that. I hope hubby ends up not needing the oxygen. I agree with you though, it seems to be all about attitude. A lot of people go and do things even with oxygen. Hope you are doing OK and continuing to find balance in life. big hugs, m

I\'ll be praying hubby doesn\'t end up full time on oxygen. What a wonderful, thoughtful man to get you the spa package! I will be sure and tell my hubby this as well :)
You sound so much better! I am glad you are stabilizing and feeling better. it is wonderful the kitties got adopted.
I am trying to join you in that art of balancing :)
Much love to you always!
