A bit behind...again

I have decided that my heart lies deep into my family right now, therefore that is the reason for my long absences from FMO/DS. My Father has been diagnosed with colon cancer and is scheduled for surgery on the 29th of May and as I have explained before my Mother is in the last stages of Alzeheimers...
My Husband and I are looking to re-locate to Nevada and we are both currently interviewing with different companies in Elko, one is a predominant gold mine and the other a very nice casino.
We have been very busy with our full time jobs, kids graduating, the Mississippi river rising and threatening to close our work place and the worst is all of the damage done to our friends and family with all the tonados and storms ravaging the south...we have lost a home and had severe damge to our property but everyone is alive, thank God.
It will be awhile before I have the opportunity to post again I am sure of that because my heart is so torn right now, I know that I don't have the time to stop to cry right now. Please know that my heart is with you each and everyday but for now I have responsabilities that are demanding and I want to spend as much time as I can with my family before I no longer have them.
All my love always,
Walking beside you always...
Jacqueline

Jacqueline, so good to hear from you and of course you need to take care of your parents and the move etc. I will be here waiting for you with open arms when you are able to join us again and sometimes a break from the journey of grief is necessary to get what we need to get done in the other facets of our lives. Love to you and sweet MayLyn, Linda

This time, too will pass. I promise you the future holds pleasure and release, just getting through the present will take all you have. I\'ve been through similar with both parents, loved them, lost them, nursed them, etc. Trying times, but with an end in sight. Love to you and strength, hand in there, the future will be kinder.

I think you and your husband will really like Nevada ~ especially the climate! We have been in the Vegas area for almost two years and have fallen in love with the Southwest landscape ~ hauntingly beautiful ~ almost like being on another planet. No tornadoes either! No rain, in fact... :)

My thoughts and prayers will be with you as you make your way through this time of challenge and transition. I lost both of my parents within 18 months of losing Corrie. We will bury both of their ashes in a plot they arranged for in my hometown of Ithaca, NY at the end of May. I feel at peace about my parents ~ they lived long and satisfying lives, as I imagine your parents have as well, and I truly feel that they are once again together, at peace and out of pain.

Sending much love and encouraging hugs ~ Debbie

I understand this completely and wish for you all the best. I am also glad you have survived the storms although I know the loss of your home has been devastating. I pray your father and mother will get better and strength for you as you take care of them and make plans for a future. I know the pains of both of those diseases...My MIL had colon cancer and my mom has alzheimers....my heart it with you. Love, dale....brandon\'s mom
