A Biker Dies

Tonight, while attending a parade, that my grand-daughter was marching in, I received a call on my cell phone.  It was a friend who was calling to notify me of a Biker friend I rode with years ago.  He died last night and his wife wants me to preach his funeral Tuesday at 11 am.  This will be a tough one for me.  We have been friends for probably 50 years.  We rode together, drank together, etc. To my knowledge, he was not a saved man.  He drank heavily, and never darkened the door of a church or had any church affiliation at all, to my knowledge.  I am by no means judging him, I am just stating what I know of his life.  I am to call his wife tomorrow afternoon for any details.  I don't know the cause of death or what happened until I talk to his wife.
I will preach salvation to those who attend.  This is what I have been called to do and to be there and show love and compassion to people.  I have strove to be a blessing ever since I was saved and moreso since I have been preaching now for 35 years.  For Jim, his destiny in Eternity is up to God.  I will do my best to bring comfort to this large family and circle of friends that he had.
This is tough for me, loosing 2 friends within a weeks time.
