a beautiful summer day
My hammock was delivered today.....hooray! I have been wanting a hammock for years and finally got one. Tom hung it up in the back under the tress for me and I have been test driving it all afternoon. It is one of those wonderful summer days where the sun is shinning and the breeze is blowing and it isn't too hot....in fact it was a little cool in the shade, but you gotta love it.
this is my idea of bliss.....just rocking back and forth while the breeze blows and the birds chirp, the dog asleep underneath me....snoring. If only everyday were like this it would be heaven on earth. I imagine I will be spending alot of time in that hammock this summer. It is a wonderful place to contemplate life and meditate, which is something I need to do more of.
Things have been pretty good as of late, except the weather of course!!!! Tornados, thunderstoms and even earthquakes.....I think mother nature is pissed off big time and we had better hold onto our hats.
Number 1 daughter is coming home in 2 weeks with four of her friends and they along with hubby are going to see Rush in concert. I am trying to figure out where everyone is going to sleep......oh well they are university students I guess they can sleep anywhere and still function the next day!
Well I guess that's it for now....off to enjoy more summer bliss who knows how long it will last....

I\'m so happy for you. I remember when I bought my hubby one-he loved it!!! Where we live now we have planted all the trees, so they are still too small for one. Which is the reason for the screened in porch-loving it. Nature is healing for the body, mind and soul. You and a handful of others that I know may believe this but most people laugh at me. Do college students sleep? lol I don\'t think you will have any problems there. Hope you have a wonderful time. Oh read an article that said all the earthquakes and tornadoes was the earth\'s way of getting rid of negative energy. Said there were going to be many more of them coming. We actually had an earthquake about a month ago.
I\'ve been thinking about you and I know I didn\'t finish that email. I can\'t believe this window is still open, must be my lucky day or I just doomed myself. lol Hope you continue to enjoy your hammock. Love, Peace and Courage, Kim
Ahhhhh, I am coming back to this journal to paragraph #2 and using it for some nice creative visualization! That truly does sound like bliss! I know you are still enjoying the hammock. I am still considering getting one but mine will have to be on the stand. My trees are too far apart! LOL

Ooops..Shouldn\'t try this at 4:30 am.
Rush? Everything that was old is new again. Love the hammock! I had one once upon a long time ago, memory still can relax me.
Ahhhh, It does sound blissful. I have a lounge chair on my patio where I do the same thing. I love looking up at my trees and seeing the wind blow through the leaves. It is so peaceful. My dogs are usually on my lap. I am glad you can appreciate a similar setting because I know how healing it is to be in commune with nature.
love & peace to you! Toshie
