11/06/07 My daughter smelled alcohol on my breath after I babysat and instead of being kind, she made the subject of her email "Read this when you are sober" As it turns out I had used Listerine moutwash when I brushed my teeth, before she came home. Talk about knowing exactly how to push my hurt buttons. Whenever I get hurt I get mad. I don't know if every one is like that but I am. I would love to know how other people deal with hurt. So she confused Listerine with alcohol but still won't back down and is giving me speeches about how I need therapy and never drink before coming to her home etc. I love her but oftentimes I don't like her as a person. In 91 I went to rehab to try to help myself. She was 21 at the time and refused to come to meetings at the rehab or have anything to do with the process. Some social worker told her that when I came out, I would be in the honeymoon phase and that she should watch for the other shoe to drop. She has never been there for my sobriety only to bitch if she thinks I'm not sober. I think she enjoys being the person to point out my problems and get me on the right track. I'm sure someone here knows about that.

My hell Deb isnt that the way it is. My mom use to have me go to yard sales with her on Saturdays. She would pick me up in the mornings and tell me that alcohol you drank last night is coming out your pours. Some times I had drank the night before and sometimes not but she would always think she can smell it. When my 19 year old comes over to visit the first thing he does is picks up my drink to taste it and see if Im drinking.. My ole man does the same.. I also get very pissed. My son I work for was a little brutal yesterday and mean, his baby dog tore up something and after he smacked him around a couple of times I stood up in tears and told him I couldnt stand it. I knew I was going to go home and get sloshed.. I went home instead and raked leaves.. Im not saying I wont always do that but when I am pissed thats usually when I want to have a drink..
