10/31/07 AA Let me count the ways that I despise it. High School was bad enough. There is no need to rake me over the coals again. If I sound angry, I am. I went to five different meetings in 5 different cities in CT only to find that it was all the same. I found whiny people who complained constantly, cliques that took over a certain part of the room, and very young people, a 17 year old I remember who had to stand up and beg people to help him. I am very glad for those of you it is helping but I think it is a bunch of sh*t. Besides the 5 different locations, I made a date with my sister in law to go to a meeting and she "forgot" to call me. I knew a friend of my husband's that was attending meetings for the first time and it was helping him. I asked if he could help me by taking me to one of them. Of course he nodded yes and then forgot all about it. We have seen him since then and nothing. One of the stigmas is him taking me (not his wife) to a meeting. The world is so f'd up to me. People are often too concerned with themselves to help anyone else. End of rant tonight. :)
