Sigh

While things are moving forward, I sit here with tears welling up in my eyes. It's a long, hard road. I suggest anyone considering getting married, or getting divorced with children, to really sit down and think about things. Think of the financials, the effects on the parties involved, the effects on children.

I know when we get married, we never think that it can or will be over, but seriously, I think we should. Not to scare anyone but divorce is so much worse than not being one with another person. It pecks at you continuously. Nobody fully recovers and the stigma is always there. Two parents that should be raising children are reduced to one. It's hard, and I don't want to be here anymore, in this position. I wish I could reverse time and take it all back, but I can't. He cheated but the scars on my children from me filing is permanent. It hurts me.

You are doing what you have to do-your children will understand when they are older. I am so sorry you are in such pain.
Moving forward is hard-this morning I felt totally immobilized. I got up because I had to-no choice but to work through another day.

In WA we have to go to a court mandated parenting class prior to divorce? The guy running the class with the alphabet soup in his name/title looked at every one of us and made the statement \"If you know what getting a divorce will do to your children you would never consider it.\" Sad for everyone. Just keep doing what you do best and that\'s being a great mother and loving them to death. God Bless.

I know what you mean. I don\'t think I will ever marry or co-habitat with a man again. I don\'t trust them. Even if they look like they can handle money well.....you don\'t know. I was debt free when I got married. I was so angry because my EX owed a lot of back taxes which I had to help pay. When it comes to marriage I guess I can at least say \"been there, done that and was to broke to get the t-shirt.\" (((HUGS)))) Hang in there. You are going to be a great example to your boys on how to overcome adversity. You are going to school to improve your lively hood which is honorable.

My mom raised us alone after my dad cheated and eventually left. He wasn\'t a good person, so we really didn\'t miss him. I never dreamed my ex would be a cheater too, but we live and learn. All I know to do is to be the best parent I can to try to counteract the terrible example she is. Luckily I have my mom\'s lead to follow. Your boys will admire and respect you more than you know in the years to come. Trust me on that.

I know. I feel the same way. Never ending divorce,
My day was raised by his mom, but he has managed to stay married 44 years. Now he helps to care for his mom in her dieing days days

For DECADES I have said that it should be more difficult to GET MARRIED than to get a divorce! Instead of mandating \"parenting classes\" in divorce, the courts should mandate MARRIAGE CLASSES before a license could be issued. For the most part, I don\'t think couples really think it all through before they run off and get hitched. Then again, the X and I lived together for 6 years before we got married, so I pretty well knew what I was getting into...and it was pretty good for 23 years. Then the bottom fell out.
Maybe a marriage license should be issued like a FISHING LICENSE -- you have to take some kind of test to renew it every year. Whatever....
